Eurobike 2015
Maxxis had two new tire designs on display. First up is the Tomahawk, which is for the all-mountain/enduro rider for all conditions.
The Tomahawk excels on hardpack due to the low-profile center which lets it roll fast, though the open knob spacing allows the tread to clear if things turn muddy. Large side knobs and a square profile aid with cornering. The 26 x 2.3-inch tire weighs in at 960 grams. 27.5 and 29-inch tires are also available.
Also new is a revamped Crossmark tire, which promises better cornering traction than the original thanks to a more open design. The ramped/stepped center tread helps it keep up speed with the best of them, while providing better braking. 27.5 x 2.25 only at this time.
