Eurobike 2015
Known primarily as a tool and light company, Lezyne has dived head-on into the GPS world. They've been working on this project for more than three years and the bike-specific GPS devices are finally shipping.
The Mini GPS weighs just 29 grams and is barely larger than a quarter, making it one of the smallest GPS devices on the market. It provides GPS location, speed, distance, and elevation data. Lezyne wanted just the basics on this model to make it easy to use and as carefree as possible. The Mini provides 10-hours of battery life and will store up to 100-hours of data. It goes for $140.
Data from your ride can be uploaded through Lezyne's phone application or website, in addition to several other web-based platforms like Strava and Training Peaks.
Stepping up is the Power GPS. This device pulls location data from both GPS and Glonass satellites providing a more accurate location, especially when you are in the trees. It gives 22 hours of battery life and stores up to 200 hours of data. It also has bluetooth, which means you can hook it up with your heart rate monitor, power meter, or cadence sensor. It goes for $170.
The final GPS is the Super GPS, which adds ANT+ capability and can store up to 400 hours of data. At 75 grams it's it's still quite reasonable for a bike device. This one goes for $200. The Power and Super GPS have the ability to sync with your phone and display text messages and emails if you desire. (Go Dillon!)
The devices are drop tested and water resistant.
Lezyne knows that mountain biking is a rough sport and that losing a GPS device sucks so they added a spring mount with a very secure click to ensure that the devices don't fly off your bike while you are riding, even in the event of a crash.
