Eurobike 2015
Even though it's only a few months old, Kore has updated their Stronghold narrow/wide chainring design for a classier look for 2016. It uses the same tooth design as before, but has some additional machining that makes it look a bit better. The aluminum 7075 T6 ring uses a now patented tooth design said to have the ability to retain the chain better than the typical narrow/wide. See the photos below for a demonstration.
Kore is now offering the chainring in a direct mount SRAM style option in 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, or 36-tooth sizes. It's available in seven colors and weighs 73 grams for the 32-tooth size. Kore is also working on prototypes for various Shimano standards as well.
Also new is an updated design for the Megarange sprocket. Due to a patent held by OneUp, Kore had to go back to the drawing board slightly. This large sprocket works as a conversion to change your 2x10 setup into 1x10 at a low price point. It's available in 40 and 42-tooth options for both SRAM and Shimano. Kore includes a spacer and a longer b-tension screw as well. Weight is 81 grams for the 42-tooth size.
