Hope's Pro 2 hubs are legendary, and it's never easy to replace a legend. However, looking at the new Pro 4, it seems Hope have brought the classic hub right up to speed without sacrificing any of the characteristics that made the Pro 2 great (UPDATE: Jan 4, 2016 - check our First Ride impressions!)

The Pro 4 uses a 44 tooth ratchet mechanism which gives a 10% quicker engagement over the Pro 2 EVO. To go with the market move to larger wheel sizes Hope increased the flange diameter, adding stiffness to wheel builds even with non Boost width hubs. Finally, the Shimano compatible freehubs will be supplied ready to take 11sp cassettes.

The Pro 4 offers great versatility with the following axle conversions available:

Front – QR, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm and 20mm
Rear – QR, 10mm, 12mm and 142mm

Freehubs available:

Shimano 8, 9, 10 and 11 speed
Campagnolo
Sram XD

Boost version of both front and rear hubs are available, and existing front hubs can be converted with disc spacers and end-caps (although in that case you obviously forego the boost advantage of wider flange spacing). Hope has also produced specific chainrings for Boost drivetrains.
