Yes, as has been covered multiple times in this forum. that new Maxxis tire is in response/to compete with the Argotal (as well as updated Hillbilly). IF it will be replacing any tire in the lineup, it's replacing the Shorty 2. That said, this will likely be it's own line as it will not really serve the purpose of the Shorty 2 (cut spike).

Maxxis is bleeding big time After Market marker share to Conti. Once Conti gets production up to speed and they can supply large volumes, they will take OEM spec from Maxxis. Maxxis definitely panicing for that and will likely be trying to release their updated casing that Neko hinted at as well as this new intermediate shred tire.

Also, Dak was on the tire for his win Sunday. It will be a popular tread. Jackson won MSA on it as well.

New rotors from TRP also on that rig (spotted a few times on TRP riders' bikes). They look similar to the Disk Shark, without fins.

New tyre is the 'High Roller' reborn. Plenty of hotpatches were floating around the southern hemisphere during the summer.

new maxxis tyre is a high roller 3, its pretty soft and squirmy on the hard pack but seems to be good in the deep dust

Hasn't been any DH bikes on Norco's website for a while now. Is there any rumors?

As far as I know there is nothing supposed to be realeased in 2024, as they didn't mention it in their 2024 plan they were showing to the retailers in fall 2023. My guess would be around March 2025.

Ah ha, yes.

The april fool that wasn’t funny and was actually a pretty good update of their product. So now they’ve decided to sell it

The dreadnought PB tested was 34 lbs I was really surprised to see it was that light. Their frames look stout as hell, made me wonder how much the new Druid weighs and couldn't see anything. Is it pretty much equal to the dreadnought? Seems like they are so similar it would be close.

I saw that... It has to be a typo. I would be shocked if that bike was less than 35.5 pounds.

Just spent the morning calling every Forbidden dealer in the US. No one has any frame sets on hand to sell, all special order 2+ months out. Couple complete bikes here and there but the value is laughably bad on the complete bikes. Most dealers also want payment in full for a 2+ month special order. Terrible launch imo. Every dealer that had allocations had already presold them over a month ago while the bike was still under embargo. So basically unless you knew someone in the industry before launch, you aren't getting a dread v2 until June.

Is he also riding the bonded version of the frame?

Only because of tons of leaks, the bike was under embargo until today so technically dealers weren't allowed to discuss it and whatnot, so how people somehow got preorder allocations in, is beyond me. But it just goes back to people in the industry or being good friends with a shop owner..

The High Roller was one of my favorite tires on my Park rig. I miss them. I really hope they bring something like it back.

It'll drop as soon as they can clear out Z1 stock, likely.
