Found this new helmet on the german Fox Website, looks like there new entry level Rampage. a bit of a mix between the Rampage Pro Carbon and the Proframe

It's a one-off edition (a Dorado SC got made as well) made by Rulezman for an AstonMTB competition -,not a Zocchi but an Intend Edge with a Manitou RRT preparation... quite a frankenfork (and no need to say I absolutely LOVE IT). A DC versions based on Dorados were also on the works:

That is a seriously good looking bike. It's like if. SCOR, spec enduro and Santa Cruz had a baby together.
Can someone slap a Grip X2 on a dyno asap so we can see how much damping it has relative to others? Fox's press release don't tell you anything that actually matters

its new and you are supposed to want and buy one. what else do you need to know!?

Well yes, but from the few initial thoughts I have perused everyone seems to just say it damps more/better. Which isn't saying a lot, as the old Grip 2 had laughingly low levels of damping.
Particularly compared to the custom charger damper I'm running, or any ohlins product out there.
I'm on the record that previous fox products are a joke when it comes to damping forces (in my opinion) so I'm curious to see how much more these have than previous generations.

The grip x2 damper looks like it should be much easier to tune, so that is a big step forward by itself.
Making some wild guesses from last year's Dialed shows when pros were talking about "the new damper" it sounds like the grip x2 can make more damping force without getting harsh like the Grip2 did.
Curious why this is such a packed week for product launches. So far this week we've had new products from Ohlins, Fox, Liv, Norco, Forbidden, Tannus, Mondraker, SDG, and now Rocky Mountain. And it's only Tuesday. [EDIT: It's Wednesday. Coffee hasn't fully kicked in yet.]

You see, we all want to avoid launching our new products at Sea Otter and being lost in the noise, so we all launch our new products the week before......wait a minute....
Sea Otter is a big consumer event with almost every brand having a booth and there's a lot of media coverage. Spring buying season plus the first big event of the year for a lot of brands plus the first major xc race of the year = new product time. Hoping to see something from Ibis soon now that Fox has launched.

Can confirm, it is much quieter at home than it is on the Sea Otter fair-grounds. Much better for reading product releases

Real people (vs us industry dorks) start thinking about mountain biking in the first couple weeks in April. Weather, snow in northern mountains starts melting, etc. Sea Otter is a symptom of this, not a cause.
Back to tech rumors: Industry Nine teasing a new product launch on 4/17, with the tagline "Welcome to your fastest day (on dirt) yet)" and a 5-pawl graphic, both of which accompanied the recent launch of their Solix gravel/road hubs. Seems pretty clear that a mountain bike wheelset (probably XC-focused) using the Solix hubs is incoming.

If a brand knows they have new product ready, it makes planning an engaging Sea Otter display real easy. If they have to show "old" product its a lot more work and kind of pointless effort. So while spring in the northern hemisphere is the motivator to get things out and onto shop floors, Sea Otter provides a bit of a deadline to do so.
We recorded some chats with FOX engineers while we were at FOX. There is some overview of the Grip line, along with a deeper dive into X2. But the best part is a 30-minute chat with Sergio Avanto (Manager of Product Performance), talking about his long career working in Supercross.

i think we had 14 new bikes/products go live on the homepage yesterday and the week isn't over yet. not sure why that whole "launch on tuesday" thing is so real.

Just spent the morning calling every Forbidden dealer in the US. No one has any frame sets on hand to sell, all special order 2+ months out. Couple complete bikes here and there but the value is laughably bad on the complete bikes. Most dealers also want payment in full for a 2+ month special order. Terrible launch imo. Every dealer that had allocations had already presold them over a month ago while the bike was still under embargo. So basically unless you knew someone in the industry before launch, you aren't getting a dread v2 until June.
Bro you made the same post on the Facebook group and looked like a fool there too. Stop bitching. Go to your local forbidden dealer and order one
Does anyone know when just dampers will be available from Fox? My fork is due for a big service so it would be a great time to drop in a new damper and bushings.
DVO have launched a new Diamond, which is basically just an updated 36mm Onyx (slightly updated CSU but with the same lowers, and supposedly more accurately machined bushings and dropouts for less binding, etc) with the newer D1 damper and SL air spring. Travel is 140mm-160mm and I'd assume that it is still adjustable with spacers similarly to the previous model, but could be wrong.

Just shot an email to our contact @ FOX. Will report back if they hit me back.
Also, a ton of shit launching this week = job security @sspomer

The Dorado DC and Shiver DC are already done and were both "just" tuned Dorados.
I'm guessing more.....

Wait but how can they use the Marzocchi name? Maybe because it is not for sale?

Sea otter incoming
I’d guess that’s an artifact from Sea Otter’s past influence and something to do with the TILT of the earth…spring is here and it’s time to buy bikes
You see, we all want to avoid launching our new products at Sea Otter and being lost in the noise, so we all launch our new products the week before......wait a minute....
I forgot about ye old Ocean Weasel. I guess I didn't realize how much that still factored into launch timing.
