Pretty sure that's a Magic Mary, if you zoom on the riding photo it looks like pattern of 3 knobs across the carcass followed by 3 sets of 2 knobs before repeating

Not to derail the thread again, but the sucking in of grime, expelling of lube common in OneUp/TranzX posts is easily remedied. There's a breather port on the actuator that needs to be drilled to a bigger diameter. I did that on my rebadged TranzX posts and it solved those issues, in addition to making actuation quicker up and down. Peter Verdone had a blurp on his site about doing it on a OneUp, which inspired me to give it a go. PV is a bit much most of the time, but he does come through with good info the rest.
Are you referring to the post on the oneup 210 where extra holes are drilled in the actuator?
Yep. It lets air move in and out the post easier from the bottom as you cycle it, decreasing pressure on the seal head. Works a peach. One of those instances where voiding your warranty makes it less likely you'll need to use it scenarios. Gotta wonder if OneUp incorporated better air flow into their V3 actuator. Better seals are never a bad thing, decreasing the loads the seals experience is a better thing.

What is an Ohlins DH38.2
Looks like an updated m.2 version of Ohlins DH38 fork is on the horizon. They already have that version for RXF38 and 36. Previously some of the upgrades from m.1 to m.2 include better sealing for the air spring and bigger negative air volume.
Richie looks to be on Magic Mary on the bike rolling photo. Bike laid down photo harder to make out with the mud, but it's Sharpied out, so not Maxxis.
The prototype Maxxis tire many people have posted is a new tire (or updated Shorty III) that is meant to compete with the Continental Argotal, current gen Hillbilly & WTB Verdict. Those 2:2:2 knob pattern tires all have more 'land' (knob size) vis sea (open space) than the Shorty2. Which makes them more predictable on rocks/roots. This is one of the reason Loic ran the Argotals at Snowshoe this year. So much rock and wanted larger knob surfaces. Riders have been asking for something like this for the past season after the Argotals crushed Snowshoe in 2022.
These new Maxxis 2:2:2 tires are not what's on Richie's bike.
I believe its a new Switchblade. I have seen a local riding a prototype for a bit. I honestly starred at for a while and couldn't figure out what's different. Likely just some geo and kinematics.

I didn’t even realize that what I wrote didn’t work lol. I was thinking it could be a switchblade because I think that’s the last bike that’s been updated in a long time I was really hopeful that the downhill bike was coming out but I think you’re right
Great. Now we'll have an oval bottom bracket standard.
Wow, that's brilliant solution for DH race bike, or any race bike. Adjustable BB height with cups in the oval BB area.
Would cause issues in production bikes I'm sure, given the high stress nature of that location and home mechanics/grit/play/noise.

Lots of things to take away here. The way they’ve been talking how the new prototype can be adjusted one way without affecting something else. Changing bottom bracket height and shock rate etc. That adjustable bottom bracket area is surely a part of it.

Also its a 6 bar, interesting to see more and more companies move to 6 bar to get better adjustment over anti-squat in particular.
I cant see to much adjustments other than dropouts and BB? I guess the links can all be adjusted

I think there were pictures of a maxxis prototype tyre with Highroller 3 in it but i can‘t find them at the Moment. It looked quite similar.
jackson at msa - these?
From the Gamux Sego release.
What is an Ohlins DH38.2
Im not sure. I think it was more like a faster DHR2 Style tyre. There were knobs in the centerline of the tyre like on the highroller.
its hard to discribe.
this one looks like a cut shorty.
but i could be wrong.

Richie's front tyre (bike leaned over) looks very much like a Magic Mary...
It could also be a Tacky Chan. The side knobs scream Schwalbe to me with how they're pointed out rather than in (like Conti).
Given Richie's riding style, I could see him liking a tire that Amaury and Thibaut developed. SMASH SMASH
Tacky Chan's don't have the intermediate knob which is present on the tire he is on in the riding photo.
Speaking of Maxxis tires that don’t look like production versions…
Looks kinda like a Shorty

Interesting, that he is grasping for the saddle while airborne. Just like there was a lever between his middle finger and saddle
Thats going to be a long wait until the June
02-06 it' s 6 february and not 2 june
new things about norco comming soon

might be a team rumor too...

Def a switchblade. That color has been rumored for a while, and I think it is minimal changes to the front triangle only
