As a current Privateer owner, those are definitely the same headtube cable clamps as the current generation. looks like it has two position for the shock (mullet compatible) and the rear dropouts are now adjustable. Plus it's got a ton more room in the front triangle, but I like the lower slung look of the current 161 more.
Strangely it looks like in full 29er mode with high/short setup in the flipchips, so maybe they intend to release a mullet specific frameset (I see one of their factory riders testing this on insta)
Current 161 always looked crazy steep in the seat tube angle to me, but the photo of this one is bad in order to asses the geo

Now that the Pivot prototype's been out in the open for a bit, I decided to review the available shots/footage of the Spesh prototype and I am almost certain there's no concentric link to the BB. There's just no clearance from what I can see, and having tried all sorts of weird link configurations in Linkage (including a six-bar one that essentially acted like the old Demo with a completely forward axle path) it just doesn't make sense in any layout. What does make sense to me is those three bolts indicating a modular BB, which I believe @paddydigital suggested a while back, and the room between the bash guard and chainstay suggests a 'pull'-style linkage similar to the Supreme DH V4 (which is backed up by some shots of the prototype last year with a clear pivot visible in the fabric cover).
I made a couple changes to my model in Linkage to update it accordingly; mainly it just seems to have a more rising rate than the previous generation (and overall progression can vary wildly but we can't see anything so I went with a slightly more moderate amount).
what‘s with all those cables running out of the BB, i definitely see 2? 1 must be brakeline but what‘s with the other (grey) one?
Probably just a speed sensor for data acquisition.
The pictures of the bike without the data acquisition on it don't have that grey wire. Pull up shots of the old frame with the data system on it and you can see the wire going to a sensor in the rear brake mount adapter.

Pull linkages can produe the "best" levarage curves, beautiful S shaped high progression for off the top to mid stroke support to high progression for bottom out.
In the wrong hands they are terrible, ala Focus' disgusting leverage curves that we wont talk about.
Considering how closesly they work with Ohlins, if i wouldn't be suprised if they suggested a pull link style, it's lovely to work with.

The newer ones or the old sort? I'm actually quite a fan of the new ones; at least in theory this seems very promising (at least in terms of shape).

Sworks Kenevo SL with the updated motor (1.2), carbon SRAM cranks, and what appears to be a UDH are up on a few european sites for purchase (I'd guess a few retailers didn't get the memo on a delayed launch?). No frame changes by the look of it, so I didn't think a screenshot was warranted for this thread (especially because it's an ebike, give us the new demo pls).

As for the new demo, I think it shouldn't be long now until it's released. Not sure if this has been covered but when the UCI grants a prototype authorization, they require the product to be commercialized within "12 months of first use in competition" (UCI ARTICLE 1.3.006). I believe the first use of the new demo in competition was in Finn Illes in Lenzerheide on July 9, 2022. Although I'm unsure if there's loopholes to this rule or if it's not applicable to DH since it seems that the Pivot prototype is much further than 12 months out.

IIRC there was some discussion a while back about 1. the UCI not enforcing the commercialization rule and 2. there being a loophole where small changes to the frame restart the clock on commercialization.

Interesting, the same rule states "The manufacturer may request a single prolongation of the prototype status if justified by relevant reasons", so they could potentially extend their commercialization status further (not sure if the prolongation is a whole year though).
Classic UCI though for being terrible with which rules they choose to enforce. Although I did read part of the reason SR Suntour "released" their new electronic suspension today was because of the same rules. It appears the first time Pidcock used it in a UCI competition was at Albstadt 2022 - May 8. So maybe the UCI gave them a 60 day prolongation from 12mo. It does partly explain why there was such a soft launch for it with a crazy price tag.

Kona going back to their roots, love to see it.
The frame looks beyond burly and the rubber protector on the top tube surely must mean it's dual-crown fork compatible. Sick!

what if... what if there's a speed sensor (like an e-bike) and this is used to automatically adjust the shock rate?
At higher speeds, the shock could self-adjust and provide different ride characteristics to low-speed riding.
Then, the buttons on the handlebars might be overrides?
Marzocchi hinting at a 38 style fork or a high end offering? Probably the former to rival the RS Domain if I had to guess.
Probably just a speed sensor for data acquisition.
A pic was leaked a couple months back on PB Win it Wednesday, it was deleted pretty quickly.
I posted it here as well.
I'm not sure how to find it again, maybe its on my account somewhere

Found a picture of Sam Hill's Big Bike on Instagram with SRAM Black Box Trigger.
Random Curious question: is the saint chainring narrow wide? I would imagine not seeing as it was designed before 1x and hasn’t been updated since…
Found it
Nothing special in that one, I think a lot of the Sram pros run Blackbox shifters.
Zee is not n/w, idk about Saint. The clutches on those derailleurs are quite strong out of the box though...
Plenty of aftermarket chainring options regardless

Maybe the delay is due to chain supply issues....

So, a drier conditions tire, very reminiscent of maxxis lug style and rounded profile, designed around 30mm rims and more "groomed" type of trails?
Makes sense for a company like sram, they like to release product when is ready and in the shelves... Unlike the other big S

Nsmb were given another scoop. Just a wireless dropper.

so they‘re really switching to mineral oil… bet those new bleed kits will cost a premium also.
