Ritchey’s new WCS Trail Dropper is a pretty sleek design. This air-sprung post uses a high-volume // low pressure chamber at 15psi (compared to some others which use upwards of 100psi).
Ritchey claims the lower pressures will increase the durability of the post. Ritchey has also made the post as user serviceable as possible, saying even a fairly inexperienced person will likely be able to completely overhaul the post.
The new post is available in both a 125mm travel option as well as a 90mm option, in both 30.9mm and 31.6mm clamp diameters. Ritchey went with a three-position system, with the125mm post having an intermediate position at 95mm and the 90mm post middle position being at the 60mm mark.
The post starts at 417g for the lightest configuration of the 90mm travel version, with the 125mm travel post starting at 449g, both measured without remote in 30.9mm diameter. The WCS Trail Dropper will be available with stealth routing only, will retail for $350 USD, and will be available early 2017.
