HED’s new Raptor wheels feature a unique rim design. The carbon rims are unlike just about anything you’ve seen before, with an interesting raised ridge along the spoke bed. They’re made for 27.5+ tires with an inner width of 45 mm, and a rim bed that features two grooves said to make tire inflation much easier.
The wheels come laced to 28-hole Industry Nine boost hubs or can be upgraded to the Onyx boost hub rear hub. Wheel weights come in at 686 grams for the front and 796 grams for the rear, with the Industry Nine hubs. If you want to go rim only and build the wheels yourself, they’re available in both 28 and 32 hole versions.
