Michelin DH34 Bike Park as works, but they're not the best made tyre, and wire bead. Cheap though.

Last Weekend a friend send me a picture of a sram employee with a nukeproof giga and Vivid and ZEB flight attendend. He was riding in a Bikepark in Germany. So it is not really a secret. And could be released soon

The dreadnought PB tested was 34 lbs I was really surprised to see it was that light. Their frames look stout as hell, made me wonder how much the new Druid weighs and couldn't see anything. Is it pretty much equal to the dreadnought? Seems like they are so similar it would be close.
I wasn’t really surprised. Look at how much carbon they shaved down on the V2 frame.
Just thinking it would be really cool to see electronic data in world cup events. Showing in downhill how much energy the suspension takes on in certain sections of track to see how one rider is a graceful deer moving through the woods, while another is a rhino on cocaine and adrenaline. I have no idea if livevalve or flight attendant track this sort of thing. But Im sure its possible to be implemented. Even if a rider does not want to have suspension changing, they could just have the components that allow us to see the data.

Fox forks are actually pretty exemplary as far as backwards compatibility of dampers go. I have a what is now a 3 generations old RC2 damper in a '23 36 chassis for example.
I liked those old RC2 dampers better than the recent stuff, and how the old 26" 36 forks didn't creak quite as often. Progress!
We're all (or maybe just a few of us weirdos) still waiting for 160-180 dual crowns that are similar weight, price, availability as the 38mm bruisers. Maybe the MRP Bartlett now that they have new dampers - let's see how those ride.
Sure seems like eMTB make a big enough market for trail dual crowns to be viable. Durable and stout for aggressive riders, "cool" looking for ebike full fat market just based on aesthetics. Nose pivots are cool.

or maybe, just maybe those new 29er forks have to manage much higher speeds and much harsher impacts compared to those old 26er forks.
DC-forks look hideous on a non DH-bike IMO and the current enduro/freeride forks are more than capeable.

that Magic Mary/Shorty looking proto maxxis will be named Highroller 3, that's all i know, coming soon
Vivid air and Zeb Flight Attendant already out...
https://youtu.be/ZHtiaw6yaN8?si=aWtWvBkbBEJ33Omh
That's a Super Deluxe...
No DHR 2 in 2.50 width in the list for me.
Another choice in that same category and cheaper:
Eliminator Grid Gravity 2Bliss Ready T7/T9 (specialized.com)
Terrible tires. EXO weight sidewalls and wire bead = squirmy POS that hurts to install.
try scrolling up in the drop down… at first i couldn‘t find it either.
edit: ok funny, can‘t see it on PC with chrome but works on iphone with safari.

2.5 dhr2 is lovely, ‘bout time. But 2.4 front/ 2.3 rear dhr2 is already dope if you can still manage to find a 25mm ID rim on the rear of your bike.
Bringing back non-wt 2.4” product would be even better for people that haven’t bought into the wide rim trend, but, alas I guess 30mm id is here to stay?
Fascinating conversation, y’all
What kind of ebike is best?
The red one.
To me it looks like ebikes have been the driver for Maxxis to make the DHRII available to the public in 2.5 and/or with harder compounds in DH casings. Shame we could have gotten there earlier with existing demand but beggars can’t be choosers.
I'm curious what you guys are stoked about with the 2.5 over 2.4?
Ask your mom, OOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

You guys need to try the new Conti's... I'll never got back to Maxxis.
+1 for that... Argotal is my favorite tire, but I'd run KRF if I rode more hardpack.
Everyone's mom knows that you're a nerd, dog.. Lift some weights and they miiight be interested. Ooooohhhh!
Downvotes incoming from the calculator-watch-crew, that thought your middle school joke was funny.
I laughed
I wasn’t really surprised. Look at how much carbon they shaved down on the V2 frame.
I hear it’s coming to the Super Deluxe coil as well…
Agree but REALLY want them to release the Trail casing in Soft. Apparently the SKUs have existed for months but there's no product...
The Enduro casings are really good but heavy for most trail duty (at least the kind I do).
Maxxis needs to edit their line - that’s 70 variations of just the DHR2!
I liked those old RC2 dampers better than the recent stuff, and how the old 26" 36 forks didn't creak quite as often. Progress!
