This is just a rebranded frame from another brand under the Pierer Mobility Group umbrella. It's currently sold under the Raymon brand name and it's called the "Raymon FullRay 170". But even that is really just a rebranded catalogue frame in and of itself. Which is a shame, because even though Pierer is such a huge company, none of their brands make and sell any bikes that are noteworthy for technical innovation, well balanced geometry or great value or really remarkable in any other way.
Seems like they have just been riding the mtb-hype wave these past couple of years, selling basic rebranded catalogue bikes to people that don't know any better.
Sorry for the poor image quality. But Raymon don't even supply high-resolution pictures on their own website...
It's not a new product.

I met them at Eurobike and covered a couple of the "new" Gasgas models, they confirmed that at the moment they are just rebadging stuff from other in-house brands, but they are working on their own bespoke frames for 2024.

Correct, we have been trickling out some or our own designed bikes but as many of you know, it takes years to do so. Especially at he beginning of Covid.
We have our Husqvarna Mountain Cross Series which was designed in house.
The new GasGas ECC will debut next week 10.4.23. Which means SRAM will debut their motor VERY soon. (I signed the NDA, sorry!)

As a moto guy I can see why the KTM group has started making bikes. Lots of moto guys use them to get around and especially at off-road races to cycle the track before the race so if you dont know anything about bikes and see gasgas or husqvarna makes one they will probably just buy one of those especially if they have a good relationship/discount at their local dealer as a supported rider.
KTM bikes have existed for basically decades. But it's a licensing deal for the brand, it's not the same company. I think the Husqvarna situation is the same.

AFAIK the husky/gas gas bikes are by KTM group. They don't have the rights to KTM bicycles hence using the smaller brands.
Launched in August. But on the top tube, right behind the display, it says Ekano CF and only the alloy one is available, so looks like a carbon version gonna be release soln. And that also means Sram uses the same fixing patern as Shimano. That's a good Idea

Wonder if SRAM will have plug in ports for their next generation of droppers and mechs, do away with the external batteries. The seat post would certainly look cleaner.

Hmmm definitely doesn't look to be the same as Shimano. More likely they moved to the Sram DU when they tooled the carbon molds.

Rear Triangle on Minnaar's bike sure does not look production. If it is that carbon work is really bad.

Straight seat tube, what looks like a 205 trunnion shock, UDH, 180? Boxxer... Doesn't look very DH specific to me.
It reminds me of the Marin proto.
Looks like it's just a single speed tensioner
Isn't Zink on Devinci or did I miss something?
Is that a Vorsprung shock, as well?
If Gasgas don't rebrand to Wattwatt, they will have missed the marketing coup of the year.
Upcoming trailhead conversations:
-Hey, what bike is that?
-Wattwatt!
-Hum, I said what bike brand are you riding?
-WattWATT!!
-What is your problem man?

disappointed that the new gasgas/ktm doesn't use a steel frame like their motos

Looks like SRAM is baking in an automatic Transmission? Auto Shift shows up in the HUD with what looks like cadence adjustments.

Santa Cruz sent an email to their mailing list about his bike and the custom fabrication they did to the rear triangle. I’ll see if I can find it.
Yep. Greg wanted a stiffer rear triangle than the current proto V10. They hand-laid some extra plies for him.
From latest Pit Bits:
- Upcoming Maxxis tire is called the Mudslayer, per the Santa Cruz pits
- New M1 due "early next year"; no set date yet but it's in production
:still waiting to see the new demo uncovered:
