SRAM were stoked to show us their new RISE 60 carbon wheel. Intended for XC and trail riding, it uses a 21mm internal width carbon rim with a hookless rim bead design, which allows SRAM to build a much stronger bead. It features a new hub with SRAM's Double Time ratchet system, which provides 52 contact points across the 26 teeth of the ratchet ring. Convertible to all standard axle formats, it is also one of the first wheels to offer a Predictive Steering front hub option for compatibility with the RockShox RS-1 inverted fork. A pair of 27.5" RISE 60 wheels weighs a mere 1385 grams, and will retail for around $2000 USD.
The RISE 60 is delivered with a sticker kit to make sure you can match your new bling to your rig. The 29" wheel will be available in November 2014, with the 27.5" version due to hit the shelves in January 2015.
