Shown as a prototype during Interbike 2013, BOX Components appears to be ready for production on their 10-speed rear derailleur design. It will be offered with both a long and mid-cage, uses a large 30mm pivot for rigidity and sealed cartridge bearings, and will work with 10-speed Shimano/SRAM chains and cassettes with a maximum range of 11-36 teeth. Pricing is expected to be in line with Shimano's XT line.
BOX has done away with the release lever on their shifters. Instead, the single lever can be pushed normally to shift into an easier gear, or pushed inward, toward the shifter body to shift into a harder gear. Both front and rear shifters will be available, in 2X, 3X and 10-speed options.
