2017 Primal Women’s Apparel

Primal is another company that my first association with is for roadies. This year at Interbike however, they had all the things. There was a new MTB kit, lifestyle wear, active wear, and a new urban commuter collection. This attention grabbing Alpine Camo is their relaxed fit MTB jersey. It has two zippered pockets, a lighter weight front fabric, and a thicker fabric at the back of the neck so a pack won’t rub.

This jersey’s matching Alpine Camo Escade shorts with a relaxed fit is made from a lightweight, durable 4-way stretch fabric. It comes with a detachable short liner with chamois, has adjustable waist snaps, zippered front pockets, and 2 rear pockets. This Alpine Camo colorway is also used on their Crop Leggings which look awesome as a piece for the cross-training wardrobe.

The Heather Skies Henley is a cute top that looks like it could cover everything from the street to the gym to the trail. It has a cute 2 button henley collar, a rear zippered side pocket, and split bottom seams.

The Sector Hardshell Jacket is another new item from Primal. This is a piece that would be handy in the upcoming winter months. The jacket is a water repellent nylon good in temperatures ranging from 20- to 60-degrees F. The collar is lined with microfleece and the jacket lined with SpeedMesh. The hood is detachable by a zipper, the back has a covered ventilation system, and there are two zippered hand pockets, one with a hidden second zip pocket inside of it for more important items.

Primal’s new urban cycling collection, what they call their “Happy Trails” line, is definitely different. Designed to be highbred cycling pieces, there are some technical bits thrown in the mix. One of the pieces that was pretty neat was this hoodie. It has an interesting neckline, button detail, and hood design. Turn it around and this stripe going up the back is in fact a crazy stretch mesh. This stretch allows the hoodie to fit better when you are hunkered over while on the bike. Pretty neat, eh?

And then there is this. High fashion, question mark?

These new items from Primal will be available in mid to late November. More details at www.primalwear.com.
