AG himself stated this when he was at his peak and winning WC-overalls. i think it was during the YT-era, that million was salary plus combination of personal sponsors like ODI, onza, etc.

He made money, normal, he has not only been the best rider of the last decade, but also the most intelligent when it comes to negotiating. He never reached those numbers, which included incentives, such as winning the world championship..so he never obtained the income of such a figure.
Yes, now back to team rumors, i think salaries should be a seperate thread. :-)
I think we need a separate thread for separate thread requests 😂

Orbea still doesn't have a DH bike yet. They didn't even have a ridable prototype for Maes less than 8 months ago - he was on that linkage modified no battery wild. They're gonna have to come up with something good in a month or so for Hardline or in 4-ish months when the first DH WC starts.
"Orbea still doesn't have a DH bike yet that we have seen" (bold is mine).
It cracks me up that we keep dwelling on this while the folks w/ the biggest stake, who's careers and livelihoods are on the line, clearly feel good enough about what's available (or will be) to sign on the dotted line...

I'm not so convinced. I'm not saying this in the case in this situation, but the bike industry is in shambles. It’s possible that, given the circumstances, this was the best option available to them.
Maybe there is a rideable prototype Orbea that they've done a good job keeping u fer wraps? Testing it, but not racing it yet?
There's also the possibility that what Lawman's partner saw was real and Orbea is buying up prototypes from another team, like a bunch of teams did back in the Intense days. They could slap some decals on another brand's bike.

Atherton bike without chain, cassette or derailleur
Fairly obvious this was going to happen given the video they posted had space to hold a gearbox on one of their frames and the model number ends in the letter ‘G’

Have a friend who works for a large Orbea retailer
There certainly is a dh bike, based on what Martin was testing. I expect we will see Tahnee on it soon enough
Any port in a storm as they say.

Reece Wilson just posted about his new team, Aon Racing.
Didn't Tony S say something on a wyn TV about FMD being on a bike that did well for the Americans in Paris? I read that as spec.
I told you all a week ago about Millie and IFR, now waiting for MS Racing and Zerode bikes to make their announcement.
I wonder if Orbea is going the gearbox route? Take a slimmed-down frame based on the wild and slap a gearbox in instead of a motor and battery
Aon racing using a oleo strut shock that’s been used on a bike before, made by a tank engineer.
First addition? I wonder who/if anyone else is going to be on IFR for 2025.
Colombian young gun Juan Munoz maybe? Let’s see …
Me too!
File name is good
Sponsored by the insurance company?
Made by Allen Millyard?
Newest Insta upload from Reece shows a bike with a belt.....
It’s a good day for rumors. Confirmations, more teasing, more speculation… I love it.
Reece Wilson-All Or Nothing Racing Team
Had she seen tanner visiting Finn?
Reece on a Belt driven bike, Atherton Bikes moving to a Belt driven DH. Will someone win the $100k Belted Purse this season?

Reece Wilson must have put together a few bigish names in order to get the points to go racing . Interested to see who else is on that team .
Rumor is Monika Hrastnik and more
