Has anyone mentioned or heard anything about a Propain factory racing team return? They had a lot of momentum and were close to pulling the trigger on a huge WC factory team effort, but then stepped back. Did it all fall apart? Were they waiting to see how the WB takeover played out? Curious to see if they return to racing or not.
My guess (and only a guess) after watching that interview is it a US brand. And if "C" how things go is a hint, why not...
My guess (and only a guess) after watching that interview is it a US brand. And if "C" how things go is a hint, why not Cannondale. Were'nt there rumbles about them coming back to DH or was that just Ratboy? The way UCI DH is you need deep pockets to race and Cannondale should have them, no? Then again, it could just be Spesh.
The issue with Cannondale is that they are a PON owned brand. While PON has deep pockets, they already have Santa Cruz as their halo racing...

True. But gt is also mostly a department store brand that also has high end models in bike shops. Cannondale is a fairly premium brand. And at least around here I see less and less of them compared to the 2010s.
They have decent bikes. If they can get their star rider back in the spotlight it seems like a no brainer.
I would agree that it makes sense for Cannondale, but it might not make sense for PON who may be controlling the budget.
I'd personally like to see Cannondale back at WC downhill.
Apparently they said on the French broadcast that Atherton won't be at the World Cups next year.
This ties into what I was thinking. I've been mulling about that Atherton could become FMD's bike sponsor. Tahnee ends up on Atherton, as was rumoured, but she stays with the family program, and it works with Tony Seagraves' excited 'new bike' claims, provided he wasn't being sneaky and just indicating the whole team was going to be on the new Canyon bike.
Not sure this even qualifies as a rumor anymore but on the latest Downtime Neko said Lachie "is going to to one of the biggest teams...

Is Trek confirmed? From interviews Lachie really seems to get on with and praise the session. However, earlier in the season at/after Poland Bruni mentioned raising Lachie's prowess/speed/potential to specialized gravity in the past as a potential prospect. Insta confirms he's following them, and not Trek gravity.

Not confirmed AFAIK, but most of the guesses have been Trek (I think largely based on him already being on a Session). I hadn't heard the Spesh rumor but that's interesting for sure!

Think of a former gun manufacturer close to Portugal.

I have no insights but Lachie to Spe makes sense. If we look at who has been recruited by this team in the team it always has been some new hot talent even if it doesn't make too much sense from a marketing perspective to always chase for the top dogs when they already have Bruni at the top of the food chain. A woman elite is long overdue for this team. Bruni seems to have a connection with New Zealand and Lachie so maybe he'd like to reproduce with Lachie the mentoring experience he had with Blenkie. Another aspect to consider for Specialized Gravity is what to do with their Gen S structure with the new WorldCup state of affairs... Are they going to merge into a new mega team!!

As much I’d like to see someone like Anna N racing with spezialized, just can’t see them recruiting women. Im pretty sure I heard their manager or someone even saying that in a interview or a podcast.

Hopefully Izobela Yankova will be racing again next year, she's been plagued with injuries over the last couple of years, but is still on the books for Gen S.

Be awesome to have a top CDN on Devinci at WorldCups again. Devinci Factory Team would be cool. Saw lots of Devinci bikes on the Dunbar Summer Series in BC this summer.

Especially if they bring back that prototype Wilson Dakotah was on last

They would need a current DH bike for that to work. Would love to see it though.
Pretty sure they could whip him up exactly what he wanted in an aluminum mule in a few days. They are the only major manufacture producing in-house in North America.

Reading between the lines on the podcasts/interviews with Loic and Finn, it sounded like the signing of Jordan Williams was a bit of surprise. That and the competitiveness was a lot. (Sounds like a game of Uno got a out of hand. I forget what podcast/interview that was)
I was surprised a while back when I heard Loic praising Lachie and saying he would be good for the team. Felt ominous then.
yeah, she was also riding a Canyon sender later in the season.. I'm surprised we don't hear more about her. She was not 16 yet but is already super strong, already batting the top positions with Elite. She is the female version of Asa. it blew my mind that nobody had scooped her already.. sounds like the big teams are not paying enough attention to US racing...🤔
If Lachie goes to Specialized, safe to assume Jordan is out? But, it seems like Trek would be wise to get him signed if they are losing 2 elite men.. He already gets along with the Session.. Does Bodie move up soon?
But on the other hand they maybe we're just joking and I didn't understand cuz my French is too bad...
This makes sense in many ways (even if that sounded as a joke indeed), but Thomas says he didn't sign anything (yet).
Pompon also mentions they would potentially reveal their new riders at the end of the month (unlikely). So perhaps 2 more riders at least, which leaves us with a few questions:
• is Maples still in?
• is Thomas in?
• who'd be the other one? BC? Cam? Loris?
Would not take this interview's insight too seriously though, we know how much riders and medias love messing with us forum fools
With Norco potentially soon releasing a new flex-pivot xc bike, can we maybe expect an xc wc team on the radar? Something big budget/well known rider as per their dh team?
Other news, anything about the Forbidden dh* team for 2025? They seem to be awfully quiet this year and their riders have only participated in a couple events...

Agree about Forbidden, that team just didn't seem to have a "team atmosphere"? Could be wrong and just how the season went for them.

Got to get his bonuses some how

BH bikes coming out with a downhill??
Jkjk. That's gotta be Orbea.

She’s super impressive.
Hopefully Izobela Yankova will be racing again next year, she's been plagued with injuries over the last couple of years, but is still on the books for Gen S.
Orbea. Didn't they manufacture baby carriages as well?
Finn to lead a return of Devinci to DH.
No info...just something I'd love to see.

Just watched the last Fast AF* vid on YouTube ( https://youtu.be/k9dqlFoGr4A?si=RlabvS3gKnlGiRLf ) and I have a feeling Thomas Estaque is gonna join Commecal Muc Off.

And a pretty horrific car crash not so long ago.

From Laurie’s story. Are they covering up Ollie?
Lachie to Syndicate? Looks like union clothing on the wrist

This its just the standard Flexair Aviation Long Sleeve Race Jersey?
so, Hatherly to Giant-Jayco
Riley Amos obvs to Trek main team
Bjorn Riley to Scott-Sram
Marotte will have a new team with Origine bikes
Mona will leave Cannondale too
Santa-Cruz not sure on continuing
Neff to Cannondale
Wilier will close its marathon team and go all-in on the XCO
