Here's my completely made up Sam Hill rumour. Nukeproof factory will return to DH racing with Adam Brayton and Sam Hill (and others? maybe Mike Jones? He previously rode for the CRC team, and is now a Nukeproof supported privateer). Hill will compete in select events in enduro and DH.
Ronan Dunne will be his teammate. He was running Fox last year racing DH and now in his IG stories he has RockShox. Nukeproof Sram Conti Factory Racing
I'm going to guess that Kasper goes to a Canadian brand, Rocky, WAO, Chromag..?
Would be most excellent if Jesse was actually going to Santa Cruz and Kasper went with him. SC has dumped off a lot of riders this year making potential room for a syndicate Enduro team.
HUNT Mountain is excited to announce that Lachlan Blair has joined our 2023 rider lineup!
Lachlan begins the 2023 season on a new bike, with new partners and his own racing program, which will see the talented Scottish rider complete the full UCI Mountain Bike Enduro World Cup season and also take part in select DH races. The new season also sees Lachlan attack the ruts on carbon wheels for the first time, and has chosen to run the latest HUNT Proven Carbon Race Enduro wheelset, launched towards the end of 2022.
"Heading into 2023, I wanted a change from full factory life. My ambitions remained the same, to race the full EDR series as well as the Trans Madeira and some select DHI races. To achieve this with my own setup, I would need a lot of support from enthusiastic brands. After some discussions with HUNT, it was clear that our ambitions aligned. HUNT has a passion for creating the best possible wheels, and the price they can retail them for is incredible. I have been riding the HUNT Proven Carbon Race Enduro wheelset for a few weeks now. These are my first experience of carbon wheels, and all I have to say so far is that I am seriously impressed. From the ride quality to the durability, everything I have experienced so far is faultless. Throughout 2023 I'm excited to be riding and racing HUNT wheels. The hunt for perfection never ends, so I'm looking forward to working with HUNT developing new and exciting products." - Lachlan Blair
"It's always exciting to start a new year and gear up for a new season of racing, and adding Lachlan to our lineup adds to that excitement. He's a rider we've all admired and rooted for over the years, and welcoming him as part of the HUNT family is unbelievable! We already have Lachlan on our latest HUNT Proven Carbon Race Enduro wheelset, and although this is his first time on carbon wheels, we're stoked with his positive feedback. We're also looking forward to developing new products with Lachlan and can't wait to show you all what we're working on!" - Andi Sykes - MTB Brand and Marketing Manager HUNT / Privateer
In addition to riding current HUNT wheels, Lachlan will also help to test and develop upcoming wheelsets throughout the season.

Hah. I love looking at downvotes, but only to spot when the lemmings are fully onboard the KoolAid bus.
The MTB fan boi's voted you down so hard for that one.
Never gets old when you spot where mountain bikers think a fast DH guy can qualify for Anaheim 1. It's a shame that all these younger people fall for that nonsense. Palmer was one of a kind & we've not seen someone like him since.
I love BK, but that he didn't go back & try again the right way tells me all I need to know. If he was going to make a US Supercross night show, he'd have done it by now.
Every single one of those downvotes is oblivious of what it actually takes to qualify.
Geez...if these guys could have seen Travis Pastrana show up at the Mt. Snow National on a hardtail in an old box truck with a couple spare tubes and just ANNIHILATE the Junior X field, boost the final jump to flat, double flat and ride it out like nothing and just head out b/c he was bored....
And then Doug Henry buying a Karpiel Armageddon, racing Vet 30+ at Mt. Snow with virtually no pracitce on Waterfall & Yard Sale...and winning by 30 seconds (I think with no chain from the upper 3rd down) and getting a time that I think was top 20 Pro.
USA Cycling/NORBA website is an unmitigated Data Disaster, so who knows any more. Our cycling historians are pathetic in their protection of data.
BikePark Ponte de limas has posted a photo of Jordan Williams bike and deleted it a couple minutes later. He is riding Ohlins and Renthal. We can confirm that he is going to ride for specialized :p

So it is true. That team is insane. Loic, Finn, Jordan.
Shaun Palmer probably also did Supercross quite a few years ago, when the competition wasn't quite so fierce as it is these days (as the sports has gotten more and more professional).
While never riding anything with gears (only the Pony Express quasi motorcycle, the thing Bernard actually bought in Slovenia a few years ago) and knowing very little about MX, it is nevertheless VERY clear that MX/SX guys are probably one of the fittest sportsmen on the planet. The strength needed to manhandle ~100 kg of metal under you (compared to less than 20 kilos of our bikes) and the speeds and roughness of the tracks, coupled with the duration of each moto requiring insane endurance... Very few other sports have this combination. No wonder they do tons of strength AND cardio training.
Regardless of how good Bernard is actually on an MX bike skills wise it's hard to imagine him having enough fitness to be competitive in an SX race. He simply doesn't need it for MTB racing.
Hah. I love looking at downvotes, but only to spot when the lemmings are fully onboard the KoolAid bus.

Kerr trying to race A1 was more about exploiting a loophole in the AMA rules. European riders coming to America to race supercross didn't have to do the road to supercross (select arenacross events) i.e. Dylan Ferandis and Marvin Musquin.I don't necessarily think that he thought he was going to do anything other than try to ride practice.
Cade Clason raced some DHSE races last year and did decently so I get what you're saying, but I think it would be hard for someone to show up today and do what Palmer or Pastrana did back then.

Wonder what they will do with Chris Grice now after adding Jordan, 4 male riders on a team and none of them are juniors is really uncommon. Someone is gonna get the axe or move somewhere else...

He already announced on Instagram that he is moving on from Specialized Factory but staying with the Specialized family. He is probably going down to Gen-S or something like that since his results have not been top tier like we expect from Jordan.
so this one is interesting...stumbled across it via random followers. i see lars follows it, probuilds and some others that indicate it's not some fake transition account.
Any chance of making a separate Palmer fanboy moto stream? We all get how uninfluenced you guys are but I came here for this season's racing rumors and not to hear you live in the past.

The Gehrig Twins are joining forces with Specialized for 2023 and beyond.
The Enduro World Series races have dictated the calendar of the two enduro riders for the last ten years, leaving little room for "left and right". With the opening of their own bike lodge Flem Mountain Lodge last summer, the two will no longer compete in the World Cup. But anyone who knows the Twins knows that giving up racing completely is not an option. Instead, the twins will try their hand at other cycling disciplines in the future and expand their horizons on two wheels. In this way, the twins will remain in the world of cycling in the future and continue to pass on their passion for the sport. All combined with their flair for adventure!
As one of the first sponsors of the power duo, Specialized had a great influence on their careers. In between, the two have traveled the world with their enduro bikes, achieved great results, gained valuable experience and made a name for themselves internationally. Now that the twins are on the road more locally, this is exactly the right time for Specialized Switzerland to bring the two back on board. Together, they have a series of events, races and adventures lined up, to ensure that Specialized and the Twins are causing sensations in Switzerland and beyond.
First up is a trip to the Canary Island for the Komoot Women's Rally to conquer the Gravel route Gran Guanche together with 50 other ladies.

Bizutch is so old his old man stories are now 1/3 truth, 1/3 exaggeration, and 1/3 geriatric fever dream.
The only thing missing from his stories about racing Mt. Snow NORBAs in the 90s is the whole class cheering in the end.
Out here acting as if he was the only one who showed up at these events when the sport was at its biggest and busiest. I think kids today would refer to this as "cap".
That said, he's right about downhillers crossing into moto. Bizutch is more likely to agree with another internet poster than for a mountain biker to ever qualify for a main again.

FOKK! G-Bot!!! I forgot you won that one. I knew Pastrana qualified good, but for some reason was thinking that was the year of Ryan 'spectacles' White, the Giant/Tomac prodigy & that when Travis double flatted at the end of qualifying hucking that stupid pile of finish line jump, he packed it up.
