So Luca Shaw wasn't present in the last Syndicate video ... like at all. Or am I blind?
What is his contract status since he signed in 2017?
(could be something ... could be nothing)

absolute rumor here, but surely Benoit Coulanges stocks are high and be looking at a top shelf ride in the future? Benoit and Thibaut on the premiere Commencal team would be a formidable duo!

I was the Coulanges mechanic for 4 seasons at the start of the Dorval team and I don't think he is ready to change structure for the moment even if his results are getting better and better ! Dorval team staff are very professional now and they are one of the "smallest" of the big teams. i'ts perfect to confirm level and confidence before going to an international structure later ..

Anyone think Jackson goldstone would maybe considering the syndicate?
He get to keep majority of his sponsors besides enve and frame sponsor trek obviously but everything else is the same and they are the number 1 fox team as well.

Nah, but I could see them taken on a third rider in form of a New Zealander

Has the Syndicate taken junior riders before? Ratboy must have been in juniors still when he joined? Future is very bright for Jackson, insanely talented biker both racing and freeride, would be a huge asset to them through rest of junior career into elites. I think he was top 15 in men's elite at Maribor (not accounting for track changes from race runs)

I think Ratboy was on Peaty's team as a JR.

Or get a spot in one of the two official Trek teams, because he has been with the company for all of his life and tbh nobody really expected him to do so well in the racing, but now he pretty much has the attention of everybody and I doubt Trek would just let that slip away...

Don't syndicate riders need to drink a minimum of 5 beers post race (or equivalent in wine)? Another few years for Jackson before he can join the team spirit(s).

They'd be crazy to let him go. Trek is in an awesome place with Loris, Vali, Charlie Harrison so lots of young talent. Is Andrew Shandro still managing the race team? He must have a relationship with Jackson then being from the sea to sky.

Shandro was one of the trek guy who came out when Loris crossed the line so I'd say so.

We've got Greg on the latest episode of the pod. Mentions that his contract is up this year but he'd love to stay with The Syndicate...

Given Gwin appears to be riding Mammoth now and his mechanic is still home I am guessing he isn't riding the final World Cup race in Europe this weekend. Any bets if he will race an Intense bike in any more races this year or if he is done? I hope I am wrong and he at least races Snowshoe

Gwin needs a fire lit under him to get back up to the top again, hopefully a new bike will do that!

I have been a Gwin fan since his breakout ride on Yeti, but I feel like he doesn't have the same intensity as those days. He has everything now: millions, a palace in SoCal, wife, not to mention that he is just getting older. Naturally he isn't going to be as hungry/risk as much to try and win as he once did. I'm not sure he has the same passion for DH as Greg. Seems Gwin is more in it for the competition aspect and elevating himself to preform. I feel in order to have a long successful career in any taxing sport like DH you have to be super passionate and love everything about it. No hate on Gwin at all he is in my top 3 all time favorites, I just think people may have too high of expectations for him at this point in his career especially with the way the DH field has elevated. It's like if he doesn't dominate when he shows up to a WC it's a failure.

Gwin has done some amazing things, but:

1. He's not Greg Minnaar
2. He's not Kobe Bryant

I have been rooting against him most of the time and I hated him for turning the most fun team out there into Team Straight Face ”So Stoked”, but I'd be sad to see the dude vanish into the sunset and I honestly want to see him win that Worlds title that has been eluding him. He's one of the legends out there and I wish him well.

Fingers crossed, Aaron!

Didn't he publicly say he's not into riding bikes as much as some other racers are? Something along the lines that if it wasn't for racing, he might not even ride bikes at all?

Gwin reminds me of Ryan Villapoto a lot, supremely talented (must be the ginger hair?) but I get the feeling racing might seem too much like a job/chore for him at this stage of his life.

Something needs to relight that passion for riding fast AF again for him..... what exactly that is? Only AG could tell you.

Hope to see him on the box again soon, he is a legend of the sport and still has some wins in him IMO

Aaron loves racing. He said in the most recent podcast that when he retires from wc he’ll be at more races not less. That the main thing stopping him from doing more domestic races was how seriously he takes his training schedule. Also credited that dedication to schedule giving him more of an advantage than location or any preseason racing. Probably why in his prime he was always ready for the first race of season when not everyone was. And now all the top guys are on a strong program (greg’s career rebounded when he stepped up his training program in and out of season), Aaron is going to be competitive, not dominating.

He does seem like the type of guy who might not be super into casual sport hobbies. Some people only like competitive sports and bike racing is very different from trail riding. But to say the guy doesn’t enjoy racing as much as Greg or others seems like a stretch. Seems like his main hobbies outside of bike is different forms of racing and playing guitar based on his Instagram.
