Seems like Zink isn’t too happy about leaving YT. Maybe he was dropped. His latest insta post was very blunt and didn’t even tag them.
Always figured this past contract was part of the Separating of us distribution deal but that’s pure speculation on my part. Can’t wait to see what zink rides next

From what I remember it was due to breach of contract, they were supposed to attend some Hope promotional event, didn't show up claiming the rider supposed to go was sick and went riding at home instead... I can't find anything related to what happened on the internet though...
Think it was Rachel that was supposed to be at a Hope Women's event, then was seen in a instagram story that was posted by Gee? Very silly move to disrespect your sponsors.
He is thanking devinci but not unior so to nobodies surprise seems like he is staying with the home team

I wonder if Zink will go to Pyga since his brother is the US distributor. They currently don't have a DH bike, but it doesn't mean they couldn't develop one with Zink.
He broke 5 frames shooting that big edit he brought out his year. I'd say yeah, he's ready to move on.
Do you have proof of this? Would love to know if that’s true. Same for how many frames other pro’s break in a season. Yes, I know, everything breaks (I have broken almost every frame I’ve owned).

Hm it sounds rumor too? He rides big stuffs but not "to flat" stuffs, more technical and steep gaps imo. Crashing or stopping in trees doesn't count right?
Cam Zink closes a chapter of his life which included 2 Rampage 2nd place finishes, 2 Guinness world records, mainstream media+tv appearances (uncommon for mountain bikers, tbh), and handling sales for what was then a nascent, but rapidly growing, gravity mtb brand in the USA.
With all the riders YT has let go in the last couple of years (including unceremoniously dropping Gwin), in addition to recent moves to become more corporate, one hopes that the admiration they enjoyed as a brand will not be totally erased.
Frankly, I think it will now be more difficult for YT to convince a top DH or FR rider to sign with them in the future.

Has anyone else here seen the stuff he's riding in person in Squamish and area? I looked at a few of the lines this summer when I was there and I'm not surprised. I only rode one of them and it neither had the speed or amplitude Remy is able to accomplish. In fact I'm pretty sure I looked like an old man with a walker cross a Walmart parking lot compared to Remy, we were doing different sports on that line.
Not saying he did or didn't break any frames, I just don't doubt it
My humble guesses for some of the switches happening this year.
Remy to Forbiden, they need a pro that Hucks more than races. Will produce sick video content close to home. Better for development of new bikes too.
Mitch will go somewhere unexpected not KHS
Vali to specialized, possible since they don’t have a female racer and she’s fast AF
I can’t really see Zink going to specialized unless they plan to release a new dedicated free ride bike and make the status available everywhere, not just the top 9 stores.
Angel Suarez to commencal 100%, likely
Loris, who knows at this point.
Dany to cube, confirmed? Refer to earlier posts about his mechanic riding one at descend bike park.
East coast pinner Max Beaupre another unexpected team, was supported by yeti national for 2020
”Unceremoniously dropping Gwin”??? As far as I can remember, dude went his own way, to form a team like he desired. It's not like when the Celtics sent Isaiah Thomas to the Cavs, after he worked his b̶u̶t̶t̶ hip off and sacrificed everythng for his team...
I am curious about what they will be doing too, but let's not turn Gwin into a martyr of MTB free agency, when he's quite the opposite, with probably more power than any other rider at that certain point.
Re: MucOff Commencal - I have a slight feeling that they will be on Öhlins next year. For Öhlins this could be a huge deal and a boost for their business.
Commencal 100% is already on Fox and I would be very surprised to see them move on.
Furthermore, there is one thing which really stands out when looking at their current line-up: All or at least most of their bikes are now also available with Öhlins suspension.

Let’s wait and see...time will tell.
