Santa Cruz is lucky to have him and should shell out some cash to keep him. He's got the skills and podiums to prove it!

Trek is distributing Unior here in the US.. Maybe they are throwing some support that way?

If you google his name + Cannondale you stumble across this match with release date 1.1.2021:

m.feltet.dk › nyheder › simon_and...
01.01.2021 — Simon Andreassen skifter hold: Det er ønskeholdet Feltet.dk er ... første gang i sin seniorkarriere skifter han Specialized ud med Cannondale.

Following the link does not yield in anything: https://m.feltet.dk/nyheder/simon_andreassen_skifter_hold_det_er_oenske…
That photo is almost like seeing Marco Fontana on a Canondale again with the Redbull lid hahaha man I miss seeing that guy racing

Simon's gonna be looking fresh in the alpinestars stuff if that's true

I think Trek's Unior distribution was born from the team, not the other way around. But it wasn't a factory team, while Devinci was. So the allure of going on with Devinci at the time would be obvious.

A few thoughts:

1. We ASSUME that a certain rider is going to a certain team, because we figure out certain parts on censored photos that haven't been censored good enough, but why aren't we taking into consideration that there are small sponsor/partner changes from year to year? By this I mean smaller players than SRAM/Shimano, who receive public goodbye letters. So what if Scott, for example, isn't on Enve next year, but Cube is?

2. Is UNNO still running a DH program? Would be cool to see Angel there.

3. When it comes to small things, like grips, I have seen riders opting for products that aren't from the team sponsors, as few people notice that. Burgtec, DMR, ODI and Renthal grips are obviously super popular around the circuit. (Not related to team rumours, but the Bartender grips are my favourite and I have noticed similarities in look to Lizard Skins grips, which Peaty used to have a deal with.)

4. I miss the days when there were more important suspension stakeholders on the circuit than today's ”two party system” of RockShox and Fox. I would love to see Marzocchi out there and obviously Manitou as well and I honestly hope Hayes pushes for that.

Can't wait to see what the new year brings, team- and sponsor-wise!

Yeah Marz handles all the free ride athletes for fox now as well. I think Rheeder is the only one still rocking kashima
It's also worth noting that under the Marzo paint, depending on the rider (some guys don't seem to care, and you can tell they're running the marzo damper,) they're still essentially riding fox.

Yup. A lot of riders swap the fox internals into the Marz chassis and essentially they end up with a coil sprung 36 Factory. It's a pretty aweosme fork. Slightly heavier, slightly burlier and stiffer than the 36 and way cheaper. We have actually had several customers at our shop request the same transformation.

In the case of the sponsored riders, it's sometimes the chassis too. just repainted to marzo colors instead of fox colors (the marzo chassis is a little heavier than the fox.)

I can say with a year of experience, that the Z1 coil is pretty damn spectacular and i've been thinking for doing the grip2 damper. Although the grip sweep is pretty great for what it is

I'd happily ride my Z1 from decades ago. No complaints aside from the occasional harsh bottom out. But that's Tech...

The grip damper was marz that’s what fox bought. Minnaar tested it in a 40.

Angel just posted an IG story where he is in South Africa. Minnaar is also currently in his hometown there, maybe they are meeting up for some SC Syndicate promo??

Zink has been buddies with Gwin for a while. I think it was Gwin who pushed to get Zink on YT back when he was. Any chance he would go to Intense with Gwin?

Ya got that one backward. Zink was on YT first and became the US distro. Gwin came on after. Both riders made their own choices to jump on the brand based on the performance of the Tues.
