Loris has won with RockShox before, he will win with them again. This talk of other suspension companies (not named Fox) as being less than capable competitors or innovators is nonsense.

Just because RS don't have a YouTube video series with a guy in a sprinter van and a friendly dude in his backyard doesn't mean RS doesn't care about the details.
There are plenty of riders on the circuit running RS who demand the same if not more from their suspension. Let's not forget Amaury Pierron absolutely killed everyone two years ago aboard a bike with RS on it and I don't feel the suspension was holding him back.

The same data set that brought us Live valve? Cause that doesn't seem to have translated from motor sports to Bikes as well as they were hoping lol.
I understand where you are coming from and what you are saying but this whole narrative I keep seeing in the forum's that FOX is the only company the bleeds racing and that Loris would be doing himself a disservice moving to something else is just silly talk.
Live valve is xc and they are now using it in trophy trucks.
Ext introduced two shocks and knock it out of the park it’s taken RS 20 years to come out with the super delux.
Ext worked with Lobe and citron.
Live valve is nothing but an actuator moving the suspension elements that are otherwise moved by the pedal switch. The 'added value' of it is the brain box and the algorithms, switching the shock based on accelerometer data.
EXT is in a different part of the market to RS and Fox. And by that logic, BOS also works with motorsport quite a lot (I saw mr. Bossard Jr. in an Andreas Bakkerud video, where he was suspension engineering Andreas' car, where it was mentioned they raced against each other in their junior categories).
But the requirements, from shock packaging, overall dimensions, flow characteristics, loads applied to them and pricing (if we are comparing MTB shocks to motorsport shocks) are completely uncomparable. General damping principles are the same and the general layout (piston moves through oil, oil flows through ports and valves, provides resistance), but that's about it.
How many automotive companies have made good bikes? Many have tried. How popular is Ohlins in the MTB world, is it the be all, end all product? I'd say no, while they are touted as kings in motorsport. How well has Penske performed in MTB products? They have been relatively absent from the Trek lineup after covering everything they made a while ago. And Vorsprung is happy to change the shocks and/or tunes on Trek bikes for an un-re:activ tune and saying the bike rides better that way. Etc.
Bikes are specific. Jeff says we can learn a lot from MX bikes, which is a point, but I still think there are a whole lot of things that work on MTBs and not somewhere else and vice-versa.
Troy Lee Designs commented on Loris Instagram post: „Gonna be mint, can’t wait!“
Trek is definitely not on TLD, but Canyon is and we know that they can afford big names (Troy, Fabio, etc.) and in addition, their team is managed or mentored by a French, Fabien Barel....
Maybe TLD just trolling us, or Trek will change from 100% to TLD.
If he goes to Canyon, then we end up with the same question: will any of the current riders leave them? Maybe Wallace to Devinci?
In the Vital World Cup Downhill Interviews podcast on Nov 1st Loris interviews Tahnee and asks how Canyon is. Pretty sure he was the only rider to interview another rider.

Pretty sure Moir would disagree with this statement
Guys, coming up with another idea.

I have said a while back Mark Wallace to Devinci will be a good shout.
Anyone who is posting as companies saying welcome, and things like that are trolling. We spend all these months getting ready to make a big announcement but hey lets just say yeah we signed him in a random comment on IG about his leaving his old sponsors.
Everyone who thinks Vergier cannot be successful without Jordi be ready to have your minds blown: Jordi is moving to SRAM/Rock Shox.
I saw it kinda implied on the Instagram of Jordi’s girlfriend. I also inferred from the Instagram of Vergier’s cousin that Loris is personally supplementing Jordi’s income to make the move. Everyone knows Rock Shox sucks because all they focus on is MTB suspension while you can find Fox on FORD RAPTORS!
All you folks who know that Vergier’s success with Syndicate was a direct result of his funny banter with Jordi are totally right.
"Hey guys, of leave a generic comment or follow someone on instagram, they'll all freak out on the vital forum!"
Remember when we used to at least get vague puzzles and hints dropped over a few months to figure out? Those were the days. Now we just get fake instagram tip-offs.

The quality of stock tunes on retail forks have little to nothing to do with what these riders get. If Loris likes a lot of compression damping, he can have that with a custom tune on any fork mfg in the world cup. the damping in all these forks works the same way, and can be tuned to feel the same. especially when you get into the realm of being able to make custom dampers and air springs. RS might get sued if they cloned a fox damper for sale, but there's nothing against the law if they cloned a fox damper, or heck, even just bought a 40, pulled the damper, and put it in their chassis.
Worth mentioning, however, that this wasn't always true. there was a time when brands were using dampers that worked completely differently from each other. but now, they are all essentially the same damper style.
I never suggested riders have off the shelves stock tunes on suspension???
Just that sram are more than capable of data collection, and will no doubt...

Just that sram are more than capable of data collection, and will no doubt have highly competent suspension design and maintenance engineers with the brand having decades of experience in design and racing.

It’s true. Bike executives are obsessed with the comments of the 10 people who post on this obscure Internet forum.

Anyone heard any rumblings of Katy Winton leaving Treks Enduro team? Recently she has been posting about her 4 years with Trek and how every year played out.
She mentions 2020 being the end of her contract year so is she gonna stay or is she gonna move on?
Lets be honest here, he has riden Grim donut so everything else is just pale now...
And he's no longer racing full-time. I could see him signing with a smaller company that would benefit more from his social media reach than Commencal (who have a pretty stacked roster right now).
100% Devinci is stepping back from WC racing in 2021....Where does that leave Jure and Dak for 2021???
I doubt devinci would be stepping away from
Full time racing seeing they have been testing a new higher pivot bike. I think Unior might be the ones stepping back if anything.

Yeah, I saw that series of wrap-up posts on her gram and was thinking it was less a recap and more of a "goodbye and thanks" series. She could go to Canyon with Emily Batty [

Seems like Spesh was 'taking the piss' with that IG comment.
