While the rumors here are mostly focused on the gravity scene, here are some from XCO:
Kerschbaumer and Sarou to Specialized
Luca Braidot and Marotte to Santa Cruz, apparently new XC bike is also in the works
Ferand-Prevot to Absalon

Do you know if Laona Lecomte still has a contract with Massi? She is a top pick for a big team right before the olympics.
She’s staying with Massi, as she feels comfortable and at home with this « small » and family structure

Sorry but I dont know. I'm not the source of these rumors, heard that from a friend who has some pretty good connections in high level XCO racing, also with some of the teams and racers mentioned above so I'd say most of these, if not all, might really happen!

In an interview for Vojo Mag, she said that she will stay at least one more year with Massi, she is doing well in the team and for an Olympic year she does not feel ready to change.

Cam's rise has been pretty fast. Gonna be a fun season next year with Tahnee and Myriam fit, Nina and Cam firing on all cylinders, Vali finally making her entry into elites... not to forget defending champ Marine and hopefully Rachel.

Regarding Jamie Edmonson, would be cool to see Nukeproof step up with factory support, or maybe even do a Brayton type "own programm" support? Ah who are we kidding, we want the Cathro Racing Brigade as a team, don't we?

Pretty unnecessary buddy, and I'd also hold my hopes/horses if I were you, she happens to look pretty happy with Emily Siegenthaler.

Why don't we stick to rumors and biking?

From Singletrack World...What this doesn’t tell us is where Danny is off to. We asked our Downhill Guru, George Thompson – between his Making Up The Numbers podcast and racing, he’s pretty well connected. He says:

‘Danny Hart wins races. Danny Hart sells bikes. He’s the people’s champion and he’s a big part of why Saracen has taken over from Orange as the most popular bike on the UK race scene. He’d be a great fit on the Santa Cruz Syndicate. They have a history of having multiple riders who can win races and I think it might be contract time there as well. Imagine how many Megatowers he’d sell…’

That was news from the day of the press release. Definitely old news

Dunno, Danny Hart is very private and very much his own team within the team by the looks of it, while the Syndicate are big on the "family" vibe. Not sure Danny would fit great there.

I know he has a contract and is basically YT's numero 1, but I cannot shake the feeling that Angel Suarez would be a prototypical Syndicate rider (and would easily take Loris' place in the realm of weird WC bike-soundbites).

Regarding Danny, it seems to be pretty much a done deal to Cube, we'll see what that means for uncle Phil.

I would think Trummer is YTs #1, although it's rad finally seeing how well Angel can do when he stays healthy.

To be fair Vali has never been on YT Mob like Trummer and Suarez .
Which when you think of how dominant her junior seasons were, how has she not been signed by a big factory team, you have to think a male athlete would have been.
Maybe someone can correct me, maybe the Sram-TLD is good for her and she is happy doing it that way?

Wait Gwin use to be YT's real #1and you could say he was the only true #1 they had. Vali was a great jr story but we still have not really seen her up against the big girls. Trummer great story having the season he had while not on a big team.

I think it has nothing to do with Vali being a female, Also i'm not sure what you mean she isn't on a big factory team her TLD SRAM is a BIG money team. Plus Jr's never get the love that elites do.

Oh for sure they are big brand sponsors, and when I wrote it I thought that.
But it’s not a factory team is it? Arguably both those brands would loose little if they didn’t run that team, as they get plenty of coverage elsewhere, so I would think there not really running it like a dedicated factory team would.
I dunno, that’s what I’m asking maybe that’s good for Vali?
Plenty of juniors get hype, and Shes not a junior any more, that’s my point, you think big factory teams Would have snapped her up? She’s probably had as much hype as a junior, as Finn isles did as a junior, and he was sponsored up to death even as a junior.

I mean Vali is pretty sponsored head to toe aswell and heck she has even gotten two FREE cars! So I don't think her being female has affected her not being signed by a factory team. I think she was just happy with what she was on, if she wants a factory team I beat she could have it in a second! heck she may already have one. Im excited to see what the future holds for her!

Wait, Vali got TWO free cars?
When? Where? What kind?
What is the reach of each?
What pressure is she running, front and rear?
How many rebound clicks?
Angle of the shifting lever?

I. Need. To. Know!

You know a lot of the time those are not free cars. Heavily discounted, maybe some extra custom shit but free not as often as people want you to belive. Especially from a dealership and not a manufacturer.

Sometime these deals are like a lease or dealer vehicle. A high profile person gets it for free, drives it around, splashes the brand out in public, then the dealer swaps them a newer vehicle and the process continues. Looks like Vali has had 2 Minis from the same dealer, looks like this could be the situation here.

Often as you mentioned the car is a loaner and not the athletes to keep.

Isn't it clearly established that Vali is really happy with the current setup? And her finishing school was the reason she also kept the program the same for 2020, despite having offers?

From what has been said in other sport commentary, usually a loaner in part because of the tax implications for the athlete. IIRC part of the reason Audi stopped awarding the prize of a quattro for the skiing was because the winners were getting hit with a massive tax bill for the complete value of the car

I think it depends on the country how they handle the taxation, but at least for Slovenia this would be true. And I think the athletes would pay some tax on a loaner as well. You do pay a tax if you're issued a company car for example, where the tax is 1 % of the car worth, MSRP I think, every month that you 'own' (use) it.

Lewis Buchanan no longer riding for Forbidden but says he has something more long term coming

That's an interesting development. He had a video posted to YouTube, then pulled it in the last 24-48 hrs. Probably has to do with something falling into place.

Tbh it always kicks up more towards january or so, na? And now with covid restrictions and so we might not get much in terms of real news till february or so I'd say, since my guess is most race series will try and push the calendar back a bit into the summer in hopes of getting public in. May be talking out of my ass, but sounds at least logic.
