oh man, BIG trash that top tube Harley bike neo-throwback^^^^WE DONE WITH THE FRENCH

   New Tech that matters more than anything--Helmets!;

6D Helmets dropping a light-weight fullface that will have 6D's 'suspension for your head' (omni-directional rubber dampers suspended between shell-in-shell dual density EPS foam liners). These guys make the safest/most robust MTB helmet in the industry...moto too.

I actually slowed down on rippin' fast bikes if it required a fullface because riding without a 6D helmet legitimately makes me immensely more cautious. The 6D fullface is around 1,300+ grams and taking a lower-velocity impact on such a large helmet mass could actually increase likelihood of head-trauma. Those 'lower velocity' impacts are typically best mitigated with half-shell trail helmets that weigh 3-500 grams. The updated 6D half-shell ATB-2T is really pushing the boundaries in what's possible with safely reducing angular acceleration/damping compressive forces during a strike to your head...be it slow, medium or fast--but I'm holdin out on hittin hard till I can run a chin bar, under 900g and I won't settle for anything less than 6D. Shoutout Ryan Radriguez for waking my ass up to the truth.

The new 6D fullface 'enduro' helmet is supposedly around the ~750g mark.

Current ATB-2T showing the 'helmet in helmet' with damper sheet moulded in between.;

The moto tech 6D

You got me excited, until I went looking on where to put sunglasses and they don't seem to have a good option. That's a big no-go. If it doesn't function well, I won't use it.

G - OG - 2 way adj

GSL - XC - 2 way adj - Fit4 replacement

GX - Trail/AM - 3 way adj w firm switch

GX2 - Gravity - 4 way adj - Looks like Grip2

Seen this as well, which is why I think Grip2 is going to bleed into Zocchi product.

Giro & Bell have a similar system (MIPS Spherical), and the Fox Proframe RS also has something like it (and is quite light).

While I agree that intuitively this sort of system makes a lot of sense, for whatever reason the 6D ATB-2T and Giro Manifest don't score particularly high on the Virginia Tech rankings.  They both get 5 star ratings, but are beaten out by other helmets with more traditional designs.  I can't speculate as to why that is.  The Manifest is very light too, so it's not a matter of weight.

Nigel Page posting what would have been a new reactor frame. I wonder what will happen to all their tooling as it sounds like Mike Ashley only bought the name and I.P. Could a smaller brand swoop in and buy up the tooling from the liquidator?

Semenuk riding a Trek 'Sesh' in his latest edit. I'd assumed a mulleted slash but the shock mount looks like a much beefier version of the ticket.

I'm sure Semeuk gets what Semeuk wants, even if it's never intended for the genereal market.

Personally, I would never ride on anything not marketed as X01/XX1.

I haven't heard anything but is there any soft compound tire with light casings besides the Minions?

Ethirteen's A/T Trail casing MoPo compound? I have cut sidewalls on those, same as I've done with DHRII Exo+.

I may have misunderstood the question though.

Schwalbe Magic Mary is available in Super Trail, Super Ground with Soft compound, and Super Trail with Ultra Soft compound.

Wouldnt be that tooling in some Chinese factory, already paid off? I mean unless I missed something, they had their frames made in Asia like 99% of the market...

With all the folks they owed money to, odds are the frame mfg was on that list as well.

Go swoop up some carbon frame molds.Wink

I heard it's going to be a park/Enduro dual crown fork. I have my doubts but we'll see.

Bit of a speculation on the most possibly never going to happen nukeproof reactor V3. All the comparisons are made with the current V2 generation in mind. (I consider the old hardtail as the V1 generation)

Would be nice to get a full rundown from Mr. Page himself. Or would be possible to buy the prototype from him?

- Geometry
Geometrywise it might have got a standard longer slacker lower treatment.

- No Cable Tourism
All the cables are routed internally, yet not through the headset. Hooray!

- Horst Link stays
I was expecting a flex pivot. If the rear travel stayed 130 mm they could have implemented flex pivot. Specialized and Merida can solve this on their frames that has more rear travel.

- Brake line disappearing into the chainstay
Instead of routing the brake line outboard, they are now going on the inside of the chainstay. It would have been nice to have a fully external brake line solution.

- Brake + rear derailleur line over the bottom bracket.
At least the brake line is over the bottom bracket, but the rear derailleur line is not visible. Possibly because of AXS? Definitely an improvement over the current model where the cables / lines are routed under.

- Bottom bracket housing looks to be quite big in dimateter compared to the bottom bracket. Could it be a T47?
With all the 30 mm spindles, and outboard bearings the wall thickness of the standard BSA bottom bracket is quite thin. T47 could help on this as it allows for thicker walls. Can not be a coincidence that Hambini makes BSA/30 mm bottom brakcets in titanium.

- 2 Cable ports on the downtube for brake line?
As the frame is made of carbon on the picture, and it must have inside channels for the brake lines, I suppose that one channel is coming out next to the headtube on the left (for EU) the other is coming out on the right side for UK / moto people.

I think the tapered steerer pretty much confirms that it will be.

Looks an awful lot like a 15mm axle too.

I'd say the barrier for entry for DC-ing your enduro is the sheer amount of fucking around for what for most people would be an experiment.

A DC enduro that doesn't require any new parts will probably print money. Might even slap one on my torque for laughs.

Nero was always offered with tapered, so is Suntour rux, or was dvo emerald.

Having a solution to route brake lines left or right would be SICK. As a moto style rider I’m forever having to put up with the rear brake cable coming out the wrong side and it just looks untidy.

First of all, ‘bout damn time. Hearing Chris Porter talking about this fork three years ago and now finally seeing a release date…

When the prototypes were out there, Formula was saying that it would be closer to the Zeb and 38 in both price and weight. Hopefully they’ll be able to stick to those claims.

Considering how much of the world runs brakes moto style it blows my mind how many manufacturers don't make allowances for it.

I wouldn't consider doing it with a carbon frame, but I did drill a Commencal alloy frame for moto routing a few years ago, as they are one of many brands that just thinks everyone runs their brakes the way they do.
