They're also heirs to the $ billion tennis racket empire.

Meanwhile, has Danny Hart been spotted riding a Nukeproof in NZ yet?

No, but he will be on a new team next year and does have a number of options available to him.

In the latest downtime podcast Ratboy seems to hint towards cannondale potentially returning to downhill, although he wasn’t aware of the leaked (and now confirmed) changes so not sure how recent that was. Either way it would definitely be cool to see a return.

This could have been the case this year but with the next year changes the privateers are pretty much gone, with the exception of privateer national champions...

Ahahah they are definitely not siblings. What i meant is that a rumor about Wilson on Gamux could very well have been about her, not him. But she has an older brother who rides. The OGs will remember him from Cathro's old Sick Skills team race vlog. She even made an appearance then.

To the best of my knowledge and based on the ranking published on PB, these are the current men elite riders in the top 50 who are not currently on a top 15 team: Walker, Estaque, Palazzari, Williamson, Dooley, H. Kerr. Hartnestern, Holguin Villa, Boonsane, Pontvianne, Ant. Pierron, Introzzi, Breeden, Vidal, Shan, Kiefer. I excluded juniors in thee year 2024 and people like Coulanges, who will obviously be on a top team, and Munoz who is continental champ. So, it looks like this is who you have to beat at national, continental, or other points-paying races to squeeze in the top 50, if they decide to race to not risk being outside the top 50. Making the cut will aslo be hard if all these people keep racing, since they would still have a point advantage over riders ranked 51st and below.

cannondale currently does have a factory racing team, which just happens to include the 2024 men's XCO world champion (Hatherly).  I would have serious doubts they'd be going away for '25, although a quick google doesn't turn up an info on his contract status and duration; he's been with the team since 2021; but I can't imagine them letting him leave after the season he had (2nd overall too). its all XCO, 3 men 1 woman, so they certainly have space to expand the roster under the new rules as a mixed discipline team.

Apparently, Haterly and Andreassen are out of Cannondale factory for 2025...

Andreassen rumored to Orbea Factory

Hatherly said to be riding a Giant on road races. obvs Jayco was rumored, we'll see

Mona too could leave Cannondale

Milan Vader to Q36.5

Jolanda rumored to Cannondale

The whole XC scene is going crazy for next season, basically every rider is signing a contract, be that for a same team or a new one, source is a team manager in a Finnish podcast. He didn't spill all the good stuff but seemed like Nino is the only safe bet who stays on a same team. He also said that two new bike brands are coming to XC with factory/elite status, brands that are not big and "no one has heard of".

one is the French brand Origine, Marotte will be the team manager of their new XCO team. the other brand I have no idea. Nino will stay at Scott obvs, and Kate Courtney will stay too. they'll sign Bjorn Riley

a lot of the shake-up on the XC side is because its a post-olympics year.  nino isn't moving since its his last season.

I'm pretty sure the fine print was for an elite win. Otherwise Neko would zip tie a gearbox onto asa's bike and split it with him lol

Do you know if Gamux will remain on Manitou suspension?

Are Gamux and Zerode running WC teams next year given WB/UCI's shitfuckery?

Most of the road racing transfers have been announced, as they can from August 1st; so why does it take the MTB world so long to announce transfers? It's bizarre, and has to be said, backward.....

So much of the MTB world needs to get its sh1t together; it's 2024, not 2004 anymore.

yes, same here, I think it's stupid not to come out with news. same as with sponsors/partners

but then I think about who's planning to buy a new bike/helmet/stuff because they saw riders/teams use it this season. I think brands, some brands, prefer to wait until last minute to announce changes, so that customers/buyers still buy the products they saw teams/riders use.

Because unlike road cycling, historical there's no rider movement in MTB during the "transfer window". New teams are not finalised until January 15th each year. Therefore most riders contracts (along with marketing commitments) run until Dec 31st or even first week of Jan. So there's your answer

"Firstly for teams, the 2026 registration for World Series team status will move from the end of January to November 15 the previous year. Instead of taking the ranking points of riders at the start of the race season, for 2026, the UCI will decide the eligible team for World Series status using the rankings of riders on the last Tuesday of October (in 2025)."

It's coming.
