Eurobike 2015
If you're a fan of lonnnngggg bikes, Nicolai's latest creation may be right up your alley. The 155mm travel ION GPI Pro was developed with MOJO Suspension's Chris Porter, a man known for his willingness to try wild new things when it comes to geometry. The ION GPI Pro will come in three abnormally long size, with reach measurements ranging up to a whopping 520mm with a massive 1309mm wheelbase. Why so long? The theory is that it helps keep the rider centered on steep terrain, and able to weight the front end more easily.
The bike uses a belt-driven Pinion gearbox with 12 speeds. Less sprung weight is a big benefit here.
To help accommodate all that length, the bike uses a 77.7-degree seat tube angle (much steeper than most). It also has a DH-bike worthy 63.5-degree head angle. This one's definitely ready to charge through the rough stuff.
