You've seen them on the Pro bikes, now take a look inside. FOX's 2016 downhill DHX2 coil and Float X2 air shocks feature a new Rod Valve System (RVS) said to provide a more seamless damping transition when absorbing small to large impacts. The modular cartridge system has externally adjustable high and low-speed compression and rebound damping.
Smoothing the transition from low-speed to high-speed damping creates a more balanced ride with less unexpected chassis motion, as well as better compression control at high velocities without a harsh feel.
Both shocks (air and coil) will go for $595 and should be available this June.
