Vittoria is hard at work refining a few new tire designs, including the Morsa (above). The all-conditions tire is more aggressive than the Goma, uses a heavily siped center patch, comes in 2.35 and 2.5-inch widths, as well as a two-ply DH casing option. The rubber is mixture of four compounds, two of which are used at the base of the lugs for support. The company is experimenting with a graphine compound that will boost rolling speed.

The Mescal 3 (below) is a new version of a popular design. Designed to roll quickly, it's said to be a predictable rear tire tread with a consistent break loose point. Right now it's only slated for a 2.25-inch width in production, but they're considering wider widths as well.
