The guys at Onza introduced a new gravity compound rubber to their tire line here at Sea Otter. Teaming up with Visco Labs, a small Swiss company specializing in all things rubber, the goal behind the new compound was to create a rubber that strikes the ideal balance of grip and tread-wear for all gravity applications. Utilizing a slow rebounding rubber, Onza claims the new GRP40 compound will last longer than other soft compound tires, but still offer the exceptional traction required from a race tire.
