As of Sea Otter, The Palmer Project is officially under way. These five up and comers will race select North American downhill races under the guidance of Shaun Palmer and some of the best coaches in the business. They'll be focusing on the ProGRT series, USA National Champs, Crankworx Whistler, and a few World Cup events in 2015.
"These are the boys. Let's go racing!" Palmer was enthusiastic the new squad and leading them into the future. Along with the M16, Intense is making a real push back into DH racing.
We asked each of the boys for one lesson that Palmer had already taught them:
Warren Kniss - "Keep your head high when things aren't doing so good. You'll pull through."
Nick Nestoroff - "He's helping me mentally prepare for racing, teaching me to find the balance between stoked and angry, so I can attack each race."
Josh Gibb - "Keep it chill."
Blake Motley - "He's not the same vintage fiery Palm anymore, and is teaching us to take things in stride."
Steven Walton - "Tire pressure is your friend. A lot of it."
