The coverage has been great this year, especially with the addition of Youth Gone Wild. Thanks Guys!

So you just need to pay to play?

Brosnan has helmet cam on for qually and semi/finals. Seems like you couldn't ever do that with Redbull.

MoiMoi and EdBull are out there in media vests filming every day. Did they just pay to do so?

Don’t let the truth get in the way of a rant.

There was no race day Vital Raw last year when Redbull had the coverage either.

IS IT RAINING OR WHAT?

Don't worry about the rain.  Wind speed would ruin the season finale FYI

High winds will effect the gondola and the ability to run it

It's not windy yet we should be fine. Fog has lifted and currently not raining. Rain starts again around 2:30 and all riders will be up top way before then.

Not to derail too much but I think Semi-finals is not ideal for racers but also for the commentators.

Listening to the commentators during semi-finals this year, the commentating is consistently ok, and sometimes even really good!

They probably get tired by the time finals roll around, and can you blame em? Talking for the whole day and remaining coherent is challenging.

I liked the commentating in semis today for MSA!

I don’t want to jinx it but not sure that’s the forecast anymore . The special weather statement released by Environment Canada says the worst of it is supposed to come on Saturday night. Looking at a few different weather apps they are calling for a few mm’s Saturday during the day but 40 plus overnight into Sunday.

But it’s mountain weather and anything is possible. I don’t think rain was forecasted for the xc race last year ( or at least I wasn’t expecting the way I was dressed) and it hammered rain halfway through the women’s race.

#ALLHAILNOTBAILEY - i will only go to you for weather forecasts from now on : )

what a freaking race, so glad weather was not the decider. mental x 10000.

(re: race day footage, we've never filmed quali/race...for years. UCI rule, not red bull/eso).

quite the take down and clearing of the course. Smile for refernce Jackson was still on course and 20 seconds out from hitting the last drop.

Am I the only one who was a bit shocked how they manhandled Goldstone after the finish? I'd be pissed. It was even worse than with Coulanges in France. I get blocking off the crowd, but the winner, really?

Anyway, great racing. And crazy run by Craik (first time a rider wearing a MX helmet gets on the podium?)

Isn’t he just running the alpinestars missile tech helmet?

@ninefivemtb caught it from another angle where you see Jackson's splits on the big board. I'm sure that's happened before but could have been utterly disastrous.

The commentator remark about WWE level celebrations for every rider near the end was pretty funny. Anybody else catch that?
