I have a friend, Vital Pawl Norco, who is looking for links to Worlds in english speaking countries where it is free. Do we have more than the one in Australia on page 1?
Top 80 to the final for worlds, some real OG schedule this weekend. It is kinda nice that with a different schedule and procedure it starts to make Worlds feel a little more separate then it has in the past.

I thought the start list was done on the basis of UCI rankings. The UCI currently show Falquet's ranking as 5th and Max Alran in second, behind Vermette and in front of Jewett. Anyone know why the starts don't tally?

You are referencing their world cup ranking not their UCI ranking. UCI ranking is the last column on the start list.
Team USA Wins First-Ever World Title in Team Relay at 2024 Mountain Bike World Championships
Johnson, Konecny, Batten, Lopez de San Roman, Munro, and Blevins win first gold medal for USA Cycling in the Mixed Team Relay.
PAL ARINSAL, Andorra – August 28, 2024 – The 2024 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships kicked off today in Andorra with the Cross-Country Team Relay and Junior Downhill Qualifying. Team USA won its first-ever gold medal in the Team Relay since the event's inception in 1999.
Cross-Country Mixed Team Relay The Team Relay is one of the most exhilarating events bringing together athletes of all age groups from around the world. Each country selects their top Elite, U23, and Junior men and women to compete, with each athlete completing one lap as fast as possible.
The team of Brayden Johnson (Littleton, Colo.; Santa Cruz Rock Shox), Nicholas Konecny (Breckenridge, Colo.; Bear National Team), Haley Batten (Park City, Utah; Specialized Factory Racing), Vida Lopez de San Roman (Sebastopol, Calif.; Bear National Team), Madigan Munro (Boulder, Colo.; Trek Factory Racing) , and Christopher Blevins (Durango, Colo.; Specialized Factory Racing) competed for the United States.
France was fast from the start of the race and battled back and forth with Italy until Team USA started closing in on the leaders. Team USA stayed within the top three for the remainder of the race with the win still in sight. It all came down to the last lap where Blevins laid down one of the fastest laps of the day to close in on France. He crossed the finish line three seconds in front of France to win gold.
Team USA first reached the podium in the team relay event at Fort William in 2007. Over a decade later, a new generation of superstars emerged, securing podium finishes again in 2019, 2021, and 2022. This year, USA Cycling claimed its first-ever victory, ending a decade-long dominance by the French and Swiss teams.
Results: 1. United States of America 1:19:38 2. France +0.03 3. Italy +1:31
How did they determine protected status? It seems to be based off current MTB World Series standings but that seems odd considering everything else is based on UCI ranking and this race is technically separate from the series. Pretty silly anyone is protected and even sillier they have qualifying, let alone qualifying that doesn’t even determine start order.

Tiz. If anyone is broadcasting juniors there's a good chance it'll be on there.
Jnr qualifications went down this morning.

#USDH going strong in junior men. Asa, Bode, Gavin, Ryder and Lucas all qualify top 20. Three of them top ten. Two of them podium quali times. Legit!
I saw a comment there that they were also only scheduling the elite races. FWIW...
Yes, I don't recall juniors being broadcast in the past at World Champs. I could well be wrong though.
junior pinners in practice from lawlor
from lawlor just now. what a difference an hour makes LOL. that track should soak things up nicely though!
times with splits for the junior men.... Asa strong at the bottom.

So, I might have missed the info. But. Where can we watch it, if the likes of me would want to watch it being based in Sweden?

Is Richie Rude racing? I know he's on the list but seen zero content from him or yeti so far this week.

He is not.
Why is Mylann Falquet starting after Asa?

Qualifying at world champs just cuts down the field...UCI ranking sets the order regardless of qualifying time....

Aah yes. I'd like to say I've never been caught out by that before. 😆
so i guess the only point in qualifying was narrowing the field from 65 to 60?

Vital RAW from today. Dry, dust, then thunder, hail and wet! Mille (first clip) is ok, but holy crap!

bernard's vlog from today
Any idea who gets his spot? If anyone?
elite quali start lists. they have "P" next to riders indicating protected. confirmed there are protected riders for this one-day race. kooky IMO.
and no one took richie's spot AFAIK
