Neko and Asa are on Fox. I can’t see Alpinestars putting this out so late in the year if the rider was leaving in a few weeks. And don’t see Frameworks being a team that riders have different sponsors. From a sponsors perspective if you are going to sponsor a team you want the whole team, it’s a lot easier to say you sponsor the frameworks team than 2/3 of the team

Maybe. It's definitely a point on your end. But I'll stand by my observation. I love a gamble.

I disagree, I think sponsors are OK going after specific athletes and not the whole team these days. Less expensive, and they can be more picky. Unless you're a title sponsor for the team, it doesn't matter, you sponsor the rider.
Like what they do in Motocross and Supercross. 2023 Honda HRC had riders on Alpinestars, O'Neal and Fly Racing.

From a workload standpoint, it is far less work for a marketing person to support a team than individuals. 1 team manager orders parts or kit for the entire team which can cover 3-10+ riders. To work directly with 3-10 riders is a lot more challenging and time consuming.
Though my experience from the brand side with this is all hard parts/components/frames rather than apparel which is a different kind of beast.
On the Making up the Numbers podcast Martin Whitley had given them a list of riders for Frameworks (about 7) 2-3 were obviously not happening. I don't recall the list but Gaetan VIGE was named and it made sense to me. No Clue but I think he is the one.

I'm convinced Charlie Harrison is coming out of retirement to ride for Frameworks. He has already been riding both the DH and trail bike and giving feedback to Neko.
I hope that's true. Harrison seemed like he was just sick of being injured and "retired" out of frustration more than anything.

He was always fast when healthy and fun to watch. Was Whiteley his agent as well?
Coming out of retirement the year SnowShoe isn't on the calendar is sub-optimal, solely because he always posted top times there, whether domestic racing or international qualies.

it's so depressing to see crazy good riders being dropped from their teams on a daily basis. Obviously the whole industry faceplanted itself and the riders need to take the piss....

This particular case is probably due to lack of results as much as industry downturn? Performance is valued etc..

The bike industry is in the shitter, for sure. I’m still surprised any company can sponsor an enduro racer at this point. The coverage is almost literally nonexistent. No return on investment. Most companies are blowing out their bikes at crazy prices. I don’t see where sending a racer(s) around the world to race their bikes can be financially possible. They can’t sell enduro bikes based on results and race coverage if the coverage is refreshing a website to see who’s winning then getting a highlight video after the race. Couple that with the state of the industry. Can’t be easy for companies to find extra money in the budget for enduro racing.

I totally agree with you. The question should be how the industry ended up where it is rn. The prices were on a level where they have never been before during covid pandemic. They tried to milk the cow as long as possible, but they went more than a little bit overbord while doing so. No they are sitting on bikes that they cannot sell because they already flooded the market and it's fed now. In addition to that there is also the poor race coverage that might have negatively affected the market as well.
From my point of view the financial problems are self-made (to some *not-so-small* extent).
Interesting that she believes that she can influence the sales of consumers to the tune of at a rough guess 200 people to choose a yeti over any of the other brands, just to pay her bill (not all yetis are £10k) and anything beyond that is revenue.
Unless she’s got wind of what Richie is on and wants equals
Not sure, but if she wanted her and Chloe on a team, was the money for Bex trying to set up her own team, not to renew her Yeti contract?
In that case the £250k would be to fund the team’s travel, accommodation, entry fees, and then wages (for her and Chloe) after that?
I remember Neko saying a full season of WCDH was going to cost around that amount?

looks more like an Alpinestars advert for their winter riding gear.

She wanted her and Chloe on a team and she wanted £250000 she also sent this to every other bike company and they all told her ……..
Who are you referring to here? Too hard to follow when you don’t quote the last post.
From seeing that roots and rain I’d guess Bex barona given she won the ews 2nd race in oz
Hart + Brayton: The Hopefuls
250k GBP?! Sheesh.
Ami Kenyon to syndicate? With Pinkbike racing not racing next season
Cole lucas not racing edr in 2024

Interesting IF true, good she values her brand/service/needs as a racer, but it's a gross overestimation of that value.
Sorry ? A lack of results ? Dudes a top 20 rider if not top 10. I can name 30 riders who don’t deserve a ride over cole

And speaking of the bike industry:

Some of the brands under the Accell Group include: Ghost, Haibike and Lapierre

A bit of a reach… but we have completely overseen MS taking on GT as their frame sponsor. MS have just posted “Great things on the horizon”
MS to run GT frames maybe?? Unlikely cause of the brook saga with the fury but never know !
Brook subió un reel con bicicleta de enduro, rock shox zeb, no se qué bicicleta es. Parece Trek?

Interesting that this is only being announced now. He seems to have been running this stuff since June/July
From what I was told it was just wages
