Intense Done. GT Done. Other small brand teams Done.

Gwinn to GCN broadcast booth and to run a bike park probably ride Neko's bike because why not.

Dakota going to whoever will deal with him.

Big factory teams will pick up top 20 talent and cheap athletes who just want to ride.

Women's teams will probably vanish.

Expect large brands to be title sponsors like tires and companies that aren't in the bike industry. Continental etc.

One womens team member is receiving attention beyond her wildest dreams

It’s not the ms mondraker team. Mondraker are forming a new factory team while MS will get a new brand. I hope it’s gt for karma purposes

I second a previous comment. Any ideas why Kade Edwards was apparently not allowed to race? Also, he confirmed on WynTV he will not race WCs anymore (might race a few rounds depending on the location).

That doesn’t really make me feel better about it. Those mondrakers just don’t seem good. Would rather see him in a GT. Also would Just like to see him on an established team, not another new team on a proto bike that’s still working out. Dude deserves a dialed program.

Davis to Scott makes heaps of sense considering he's Deano's protege. I think that would be highly probable. Kid is having a ripper season!

A couple of weeks ago there was a rumor reading something like: "a former young talent and now established racer back to the roots" - a lot where linking it to Loris Vergier. Now after Valis interviews it might just be Vali going back to YT

Gwin had a lot to do with the design of current TUES. Simply a sneaky humble brag.

Why would they bother with GT if GT isn't paying? Those frames are a nightmare. Just go get frames from anyone. Buy them if they need to. If GT isn't dropping cash. I doubt there will be anyone riding those. GT wants to sell bikes to walmart not bike shops.

I think GT not having a team is stupid, the new bike looks great and if you ask me seems like the most active bike out of everything when you see the Vital RAW or Bike abuse clips.

They just need to pull their finger out and throw money as 1 or 2 elite riders that are top 10-15 riders, maybe a female and male unless Pinkerton is an Elite rider nect year just match him with someone who a bit older and has experience.

I don’t really get teams like GT and intense dropping their race teams. Racing is about the only good marketing those companies have. It’s not like they are doing cool stuff in other realms of MTB (minus brage riding a GT). Maybe they are just REALLY hurting cash wise. If not, i hope they have a really good marketing plan for how to use that money that was going to the race team, cause if it weren’t for downhill, i would Never know anything about what’s going on with those two particular brands.

I definitely don't believe it. Laurie and Jackson were tight all season while Greg did his own thing.

I was wondering the same, I thought Rob Roskopp owned the Syndicate separately from Santa Cruz and the whole separation this year makes it weird.

I’m just relaying what I saw on the live feed and how it looked to me. Did you watch the end of the race on the feed?

Rob has zero to do with the brand or race team after what turned into a messy departure early this year.

2022 was a transition to Steve Peat managing the team instead of Kathy Sessler. With the team having a Morzine base and fresh staff there aren't many of the old faces outside Steve and Greg from the days Rob owned and Kathy managed the Syndicate.

It's the same company, PON Holdings, as Santa Cruz (and Cannondale), so I could see the corporate directors discouraging them from running two expensive race programs. Even more so with the current state of the bike market.

Rob's gone.  They're all officially subject to the whims of a corporation. Probably feeling like a job.

Easy with the accuracy on some of those.

You're not supposed to flat out Narc in a rumours thread.

I’m going to guess

young talent pick up some established talent

new Ms team MS intense? With a change up on riders

a rider leaves the syndicate but one doesn’t retire

Craic to cube or Scott

Trek pick up 2 female riders
riders in both categories without points don’t return to race World Cup ESO plans worked out a treat to cut the dead wood. If you don’t qualify you shouldn’t be there if you have 0 points

all in the name of TV coverage.
basically every race in Europe except for some XC

Aaron Gwinn is a team owner. He can change brands if he want to, but he seems invested in Intense as for now.

Predictions, guesses:

Vali will leave Rockshox-Trek, joins YT
Richie (and Jack) wont race more DH
GT will be present as a frame sponsor at least
Dak to Scott or Trek (Dean Lucas retired, Kade said no racing next year)
There wont be a female rider in Trek FR or Specialized Gravity
No changes in Syndicate lineup

What a joke it would be if Intense lost IFR the year that bike gets released after a millennia of development together.

I imagine Bulldog might have something to say about MS going to GT frames after openly saying the bike was bad when he came back to MS.

I really hope the Laurie rumours are false, seems like until recently that team has clicked so well.

any idea where Ronan Dunne is going to end up? Sure I heard somewhere that he’d signed to a new team

Laurie was one of the first there rustling with the personel jumping around celebrating when Jackson had just finished his run. Syndicate coat, Syndicate shirt, Red Bull cap. Just rewatched the end. To me it did not appear that there'd be anything. After Bruni's interview Jackson was hugging Minnaar, Brosnan etc and there was probably what could be thought of ghosting.

• I think we are gonna see some big changes happen at Trek Factory Racing for next year for XC, Enduro and DH.

• GT bicycles ends their factory race DH program but Wyn Masters has been secretly in the back rooms working on keeping the riders on the same team with GT being just the frame supplier. The team continues a Privateer help system which helps get more sponsors involved for the team as they want that good PR.
