Absolutely massive! Be curious of the drop compared to Gee's last year. Forward momentum from a step down compared to falling outta the sky on a vertical drop seems more manageable.

He said the plan is to flip it, but he also said he decided to share the drop this year since it's a return site, can't remember who else is using it but there is at least one other rider who wants to trick it, as well. Fuggin madness.

Cam said he was hitting it in his vlog. Not sure if he meant the lipped or flat drop side. With him and Kyle always teaming up on builds/lines, I'd guess that means Kyle is hitting a version of the drop too?

Right! Just checked, and in '19, both Godzi and Strait hit the biggest option, Zink opted for a different line that time tho.
It's like your brain takes one year to forget just how big the hits are at rampage, then the first hot videos come out and all the excitement turns into "wtf are they doing, chill!!!"

It's a shame that most bikes are now MX with no option to run a 27.5'' front wheel without altering the geometry
It's not bad converting a 29 front end, you can get a lower headset cup that is extended to make up for the difference. If you have dual crowns, it's super easy, especially with a upper drop crown. Converting a small wheel to a big one will be much harder to preserve geometry, because you have no extra axle to crown length to use.
latest brendan vlog below. on a side note, how freaking epic is olly's bloody nose getting that vlog easily an extra 100k views! chomp that algorithm, boys! and should we start a poll about which rampage feature is going to get poached by influencers a week or two after the event?
- New Broadcast Innovation to Include Athlete “Energy Scores” Using Samsung Ring -
Virgin, Utah (October 8, 2024) – Anticipation for the 2024 Red Bull Rampage has reached a fever pitch as in just two days, the riders will hear the famous “3…, 2…, 1…, dropping!” for the first time as the women roll in from the famed start gate, followed by the men on Saturday. On Thursday, October 10th, the 18th edition of the premier big-mountain freeride mountain biking competition kicks off. The top 8 female freeriders and top 18 male freeriders are set to compete in a brand-new, two-day event format in what’s sure to be a historic showdown in the desert of Southwest Utah. Here’s where fans can watch all the jaw-dropping action from Red Bull Rampage:
Women’s Broadcast: Thursday, October 10th at 9pm ET/6pm PT simulcast on ESPN+, Red Bull TV, and Red Bull Bike’s YouTube channel.
Men’s Broadcast: Saturday, October 12th at 12pm ET/9am PT on ESPN+ in the U.S. and on Red Bull TV in all other countries.
Highlight Shows: Two one-hour highlight shows will also air back-to-back Sunday, October 27th on ESPN2 with the women’s competition taking place at 5pm ET/2pm PT and the men’s competition taking place at 6pm ET/3pm PT.
Turning the Utah desert into a stadium for the biggest freeride mountain biking competition is a herculean effort. The grueling work is not done by a professional event team with an army of power equipment. Shaping the red dirt of Utah is carried out by the rider’s themselves and their team of diggers, armed with water, hand tools, and sandbags. They have eight days to construct the lips, landings and lines to carry them from the top of the mountain to the safety of the finish corral over 600-feet below.
Showing this construction process is a staple of the Red Bull Rampage broadcast. Why do they choose that specific line? What inspires their dig teams to stand in the heat of the desert sun and swing a pickaxe for hours on end to build a competition line for their athlete? But one aspect of the Red Bull Rampage build story that has never been able to be quantifiedis the physical toll it takes on the riders before they drop into the competition.
For the first time, tracking this impact is possible with the help of Samsung’s Galaxy Ring. Galaxy Ring delivers personalized insights, offering a more comprehensive understanding of a users’ health and wellness. That includes intuitive tools like Energy Score, which takes sleep, activity, and more into account to convey a users’ overall condition using a score between 1-100. At Red Bull Rampage, riders Casey Brown and Kurt Sorge will wear a Galaxy Ring to measure and track their Energy Score, helping the athletes ensure they get enough recovery time as well as see what areas of their routine need improvement in between each digging and riding day. Both athletes also recognize the importance of sleep when recovering and will take advantage of Galaxy Ring’s personalized tips for improved sleep — such as meditation before bed. The broadcast team will track Brown and Sorge’s Energy Score daily during the 10-day event and will highlight the toll of the competition by sharing the data with viewers at home. Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra will serve as the official action smartphone camera, capturing heart-pumping shots throughout the thrilling events.

Men’s Broadcast: Saturday, October 12th at 12pm ET/9am PT on ESPN+ in the U.S. and on Red Bull TV in all other countries.
Its still way easier than World Champs. Either get a VPN and watch live, or wait 10-minutes after the live broadcast ends and watch the replay through RedBull TV.
Considering its on a Saturday the latter is a great option because now you can go ride all day without feeling bad then watch Rampage over dinner and a beer.
Was that AI generated? Semenuk doesn't make mistakes haha
There was a rampage... maybe 8 years ago where he 3'd a step up and came in half a bike length short on the landing. Like full bb case. He just rode out of it like it was intentional. Cam on commentary was even like, "wow he greased that landing." Dudes a cat.
Craziness from Bienve!

the first day with bikes is insane, so gnarly. Definitely the best day of the event

Holy shit 🫣 glad that somehow Cami is relatively okay after this.
Woof. All gas. Glad she’s ok. Women definitely putting their stamp on Rampage.

Things can go wrong pretty quick at Rampage - a bit off your line and over the edge you go! 😱
Robin with the big flip!
Heard C-dog got airlifted from the site, hopefully, nothing major.
