To be clear, I didn't mean that's the only place it can be found, just that it was interesting in amongst all the Atherton talk. If I had to guess who else is doing it, Nicolai would probably be top of the list!
Looks like there’s an Orbea DH bike ready after all.
Here's a better picture. I downloaded this in September and I have no idea where I got it. I made a whole post about it yesterday but I deleted it because my speculation was based upon the rocker looking like the Wild. This is likely an aluminium mule.

No high pivot, no idler, no flip-chip, no bonded lugs, no belt, no cable tourism, only four bars and a single chain? Will they even be able to ride that thing?

Very bike looking bike.
Its got adjustable chain stays and an adjustable lower shock mount at least

Not trying to be a dick, but what makes you think this is an Orbea? IIRC, the pivot hardware is similar to what transition uses and it has ANVL stuff.

isnt that a new spire that they are looking at making DH compatible? I remember talking to a Transition sponsored person in QT last year and he said the Tr11 is a bit of a flop. so wonder if the spire will be full 200mm in a DH configuration?

the cable ports, rocker and chainstay yoke aren't very "transition", at least they haven't designed a frame like that recently, but could just be a mule so its not final designs and the hardware guess is more accurate

Transition def should have a park bike in their lineup! Very on brand and the Spire is already a super popular park bike so building on that success instead of a race bike makes sense. Love my Patrol with a dual crown but the average person probably wouldn’t slap a dual crown on a trail bike and see what happens.
The rocker looks dead straight like a Transition and at the time it was concluded it's a transition proto. Either way, it doesn't look like what Orbea posted, not even close. To be an Orbea mule it's far too refined (rocker) and then why make the rocker different on a serious product (close to or ready for production) if that is an expensive part to remake?

The rocker follows a pretty similar shape as their trunnion mounted bikes. The seat tube looks almost identical to transition alloy frames and the lines on the down tube look very transition imo. Also the cable port and bottom of head tube look very similar to the alloy patrol/spire frame. ANVL bar is hard to ignore as well.

Transition have used solid side plane rockers as far as I know for 4+ years now. This one has a massive hole through it, which is very unlike their designs. The biggest change recently is the new sentinel has a one piece rocker whereas they've used 2 piece rockers for a while, but even then it doesn't have the hole in it.
The avil bar and stem is a weird one.
The TR11 and Spire are on sale from transition so it's highly likely they have a new frame on the way, but I'd imagine it would be more similar to the new sentinel.
Is the one piece rocker carbon or aluminium? It makes sense to have a hole for the latter but makes sense not to for the former.
As far as I can see, looks like they use a brace on the seatstay and as you said no brace between the two rocker sides on most bikes. This is mostly because the seat tube goes right through the middle of the rocker on most (pedalable) bikes not giving any space for a brace between the two sides. The bike on the lift has a pronounced (DH-esque) kink in the seat tube giving enough clearance.
Yes, the rocker has a hole which is not normal for Transition, but the design language does look very Transition to me nevertheless...
Yeah upon closer inspection it is almost certainly a transition. The frame lines look quite different from the Max Grayston shots above, and the rocker is completely different to the Orbea. The tube set is almost identical to the patrol alloy, and the anvl kit is surely the nail in the coffin.

They’ve only sold one “year” of the TR11 and they’ve been sold out for ages.
A handful of frames recently became available on their website. My theory is that that they were warranty frames being held back and delivery of new colors is imminent.
It’s interesting to hear that it’s considered a flop. I really like mine and they were pretty hard to get when they came out. Maybe the recall hurt them.

Max Grayston who rides for orbea of him on a “fresh bike” that looks like a proto. Looks like FMD might be on a dh bike!
Doesn’t look like it has the big downtube or brace coming up off the lower shock area like Martin’s bike
Does anyone know what kind of brakes these are? Spottet on Danny Hart’s story

Ah, so it'e Ohlins with the moto forks! Not Fox? Or did they already have those?

Adjustable chainstays? I think modular dropouts would be a better fit.
Anyway, good to see Orbea delving into big bike territory again!

Back when this lift-photo appeared, I guessed it’s another iteration of the Vitus by-01 proto that never went into production as they went bust…
Well looking at the rocker of Maes' Wild at Fort Bill, I'd say the rocker might still be the same (or at least very similar)
