It doesn't "need" to be on TV, but it should be in the courses. And a HARD SPRINT somewhere. Just a douchebag, speed killing, lung busting 5-8 pedal strokes.
Guys running 155mm cranks and no sprocket is getting too "coaster park" for me.
I'm fully on with this. Not sure why some peeps are getting downvoted for similar opinions.
I appreciate this is fort bill and that there are new "sections," but it's the same track. People have been riding this track for 15 years...it's why it will be off the circuit soon.
This is the only track where I like the "motor way." it is necessary down there. You want best jumpers to win, time Dark Fest.
If I had my druthers, I would just ask for more variety across tracks...widen the tape in some areas for line choice, narrow it in others for line percision.
Mostly, I would love to see more high speed flat turns that require a combination of braking skill, balance skill, and wats coming out of the corners....
Building tracks are expensive, but let's get to more of them....because they are out there!
What a bonkers year this is going to be, field is stacked beyond belief, nothing but monsters in the top 15 and some big guns are further out back for now.
Think there has been a course hold or some sort, everyone on the track times have stopped and no one has started for 10 mins, shame cus I wanted to see Reece and Adam do well, hope they get a re run before semis in literally just over an hour
Anyone know if there's updates to protected riders for '24?
A quick look at the UCI website shows top 10 men and top 5 women are protected to semis for elites, and top 3 in each are protected to finals. But that info is from rule changes for last year.
I can't believe they're not broadcasting anything elite for free... I've heard that the paying option at Eurosport does not work fine at all... Is this how they want to grow the sport? So sad

No updates as far as I know. Note that for the first race of the season, the top-20 men and top 10 women from last year's standings are protected.

They’re not broadcasting anything semis at all—free or paid!
Vali and Tahnee attacking this course. Love it. Some heaters from Dooley and LMS. Love to see it.
Any word on BK's DNF? Didn't get to the second split. (feels awkward trying to get excited over watching a spreadsheet update in real time as opposed to just... Watching some racing -_-)
Can anyone post a breakdown of how many riders qualify? Like how many qualify, then how many make semis, how do protected riders work. So confusing and when big guys get a dnf, im so confused on weather or not theyre safe or not

The top 25 men juniors and top 10 women juniors from the qualifying round qualify for the final.
The top 60 men elite and top 15 women elite from the qualifying round qualify for the semi-final.
The top 30 men elite and top 10 women elite from the semi-finals qualify for the final.
Troy Bosnan ladies and gentlemen!!! Love to see it!

He posted to instagram after so either someone is doing for him or the collarbones aren’t broken.
I am sure he could still post on instagram with broken collarbones. I broke my right collarbone pretty significantly a year ago and still won a pool tournament that night. I had some liquid courage, but out of all the bones I have broken it was by far the easiest.
Bro. For how much experience Warner bros has they are complete shit at matching audio/visual. Same thing as last year. Get to hear commentators announce finish times while they’re still on the motorway. Amateur hour.
I've read that semis is on the UCI youtube live. But it doesn't look like it 😕

I guess we need a gofund me to pay kids to stand track side holdng their phones in Snap to see qualis...is periscope still a thing?
I wish i was joking.
Just so I am clear. Nothing is televised, until Sunday? No qaulis or semis are live correct?
This is how the sport ends, semis come in and are televised, semis still a thing but no longer shown, next year no semis and 30 for finals
Qualies have never been broadcast.

Someone knows someone who does a live feed somewhere? It is a shame
Brayton down?
I very much doubt it cus he was on the motorway when the red flag happened, although it is possible

Just got word that Lucas Cruz injured femur both collarbones & shoulder

Protected riders get added on if they have a bad run. Ie Kerr is protected so there will be 31 in the final
for first race of year top 10 are protected. bernard is 6th, so he's in.
have been told "last quarter of men's semi was raining, so loose dirt at top probably had good grip."

In other sad news, just spotted Cedric Gracia at fort William on Troy’s vlog with a microphone in hand.
as big of a legend that he is, I really really really hope it’s just Gwin and Rik in the commentary booth tomorrow!
Pretty sure that he's just doing the French broadcast. Our prayers have been answered.
Half answered.

Let’s all take a moment to be grateful that Josh Carlson isn’t in the commentary booth.
Go to TIZ cycling everyone and enjoy the free stream. They saves the downhill.
