2011 Trek Session 88 Downhill Bike
The Good
Incredible suspension, a huge range of tuning potential, bottom-less travel, zero brake-jack.
Outstanding construction quality and impeccable engineering in every bolt, nut, weld and tube.
High-end part spec, light and strong. 38lb out of the box.
The Bad
Wheels are strong, but not quite as high-end as the rest of the bike.
Not sure anyone runs 28" bars like the ones that comes with...
Price is up there, but at the same time you get what you pay for.
Overall Review
Thoroughly impressed with the bike after 3 weeks riding and 2 races (with a 1st and 3rd to show for it). Didn't have to make hardly any adjustments to my riding to adapt to the bike, other than just to let go of the brakes a bit more and trust it! This thing is a DH weapon. Absolutely rails in the corners and snaps out of them and accelerates like a scalded cat.

I got a lemon
The Good
It can handle anything you throw at it, it climbs well and decends good
The Bad
The Top tube short making putting you in a weird climbing position. Also the first three or four months i had it the derailleur hanger was breaking constantly and the head set ovalized a couple of times. however i think i was riding it to hard
Overall Review
I have the 2009 remedy 7 which was more expensive than this years, i used it for Bike park riding and some downhill, and XC riding now that it's not breaking all the time it works pretty well for everything even though im getting a new DH bike, There are better all mountain bikes out there that are cheaper and work just as well like the Marin Attack Trails try a bunch and see what you like

Perfection
The Good
Suspension, light yet durable
The Bad
None that comes to mind
Overall Review
The perspective of a Joe Bloggs rider: It's hard trying to give a unbiased review of the bike. I'm sure 99% of people who have spent a large amount of money will recommend what they bought to someone else, purely I guess to justify money spent. I'll try and give you as many facts as possible. After a year's worth of use, the bike is in absolute top notch condition. Linkages, bearings, pivots etc are all sweet. The stickers and decals are peeling here and there, but that's it. It's super low

Good stuff!
The Good
Great grip, fairly low profile, parts are available from any Bell/Gyro/Blackburn dealer, O-ring keeps the pedal from spinning, chicks dig them.
The Bad
No color options, pins can break off.
Overall Review
I ran the suckas for years...before a nut on the spindle finally cracked. I replaced the bearing a few times. They went from my main bike to my loaner. The are a little high profile in the pedal world now but still relevant. They have been around for so long a lower price would be a welcome feature. I was always able to get parts quick, any Bell helmets dealer can get you the goods.

Love it Aye
The Good
move nicely, feels great, never slip off with the pins that are stock on them, light enough
The Bad
if u missed pedals doing something then your leg will really notice it because the pins are so sharp
Overall Review
they feel great i had a set i got from a friend that he had abused em for about 2 years on DH and other hard forms of riding then i took from him and rode dirt and park for about 12 months which they went well. Whilst i had these they were only the unsealed bearings and then i went out and bought sealed which was incredible as they still feel brand new

The Good
Dialled geometry, sturdy build, will take a front deraileur and the straight, uninterrupted seat-tube helps get the saddle in the right position for pedalling, great with a Totem/66 for FR-applications, or run it with a DC (Boxxer, 40, 888) for a more DH-oriented build (that can still be pedalled around if you need to). Great jumper and a well balanced bike altogether.
The Bad
Quite short in the TT, so if you don't like that then stay away. Even the L is less than 600mm... It is not extra-ordinarily light either (but you get what you pay for - in this case it is STRENGTH...).
Overall Review
Fantastic choice for a do-it-all-in-one-bike scenario. With a light build it can deal with AM riding (although a bit too short for a good pedalling position), with a heavy build it is a full-on FR rig. Dialled geo, real fun to ride. Great jumper, can take lots of abuse. Deals with DH as well, although it is nor as slack nor as low as a full-on DH rig, so a bit more tiwtchy through the rough. Buy it if you have outgrown your enduro/AM bike, but still want something you can manage some pedalling

great hubs
The Good
fast engagement, looks good, sounds good. Made in USA.
The Bad
axle stud system is prone to loosening (I've got the SS/6 speed, nutted version). The freehub snags sometimes, not in a big way, just barely noticeable. I've been running it SS and haven't noticed this since I took the derailleur off.

These guys have been the benchmark for BMX hubs for a long time. They know what they're doing.

The Good
Big, thin body.
The Bad
I bent an axle and replacement parts are straight-up not available. Great customer service, jagoffs.
Overall Review
For the kind of loot they charge for these you can get a nicer, more serviceable product from a rider-owned company.
