The iXS Carve knee pad has been redesigned for 2016. In addition to a new strap system, there is also an additional small pad above the main kneecap area that provides extra protection and also helps keep the pad stable on the leg. Mesh in the rear promotes better airflow and comfort on longer rides.
The main pad is made from "X-matter", a "slow-rebound" open cell compound designed to provide better energy absorption capabilities than some traditional "smart foam" solutions.
