Kali wouldn't be Kali unless there were some funky new scientific experiments going on. Sure enough, the company is working on a new type of foam that allows for a smaller form factor and true multi-impact usability. Something about an acrylic base with carbon nano tubes (Kali owner Brad is an actual former rocket scientist).

Looking carefully at the pictures above you'll notice some funky blue buttons. This is a new solution for helping avoid injury from rotational forces that also provides a softer level of protection for smaller bumps. Kali says traditional EPS foam cores are too hard, and that this "initial travel" can help lessen the impact of smaller shocks. We were not allowed to show you the rest of the helmet, but this solution is coming to a new enduro lid and will probably find its way into the company's flagship Shiva full face too.

Kali's new Naka full face is a 980-gram, $99 helmet that's headed to shops in 2-3 months. Keeping your head safe is paramount, and it's good to see companies taking the budget-friendly options seriously. 4 colors will be available to keep you looking good too!
