I can’t be the only one wondering where in the hell Mondraker is pulling all this money from, right? Opening a US based office and funding a factory DH race team and a satellite WC DH team during one of the lowest points the bike industry has been in. Over the last 5 years I can count on one hand how many Mondraker bikes I’ve seen in the flesh… are they much larger outside of ‘Murrica?

I still have my pair. They are heavy and uncomfortable IMO. A downgrade from the 661 Filters I wore beforehand.
My casual shoes were Half Cabs for a long time. I recently ordered a new pair and they changed the width so narrow they were unwearable to me.

Would be interesting to see Vans push into MTB... their shoes are already used to a great extent by park rats and freeriders and I am sure they have the $$$ to entice Semenuk if they choose to use him to jump into the MTB world 'officially'. Also wonder how this all coincides with Emil having more of a presence at Etnies.
On a side note, the Etnies Culvert Mid shoes are my current favourite shoes to ride in so I appreciate all the effort they have put into their MTB range.

Good entertainment in the Beach Grit comments btw...
Not sure why Van's should pay his bills? It's terrible what happened but its pipe. Multipule people ended up in hospital at the contest. Luckily one had a helmet on. Did the sponsor of the WC pay all of Brook's bills? It would be great if the organizations would provide insurance for anyone in the organization doing their events but that would cost money so we know that's not happening

It's still absolutely unacceptable how any athletes on a top level doesn't have insurance?! Weather from his team or private.
Any form of organiser insurance would be great, but most can't even pay own staff. 🙄
What's up with rocky? having a new sled coming out in march/april, first letting jesse go, now ALN? 🤷♂️

They really should have some sort of supplemental insurance setup that is paid for by entry fee. I destroyed my wrist auto racing and had to have it reconstructed and physical therapy. To my surprise my entry fee included a plan like this that picked up every dime my insurance wouldn’t pay. It would have covered it completely if I did not have any insurance. I think there was a cap, but it was up in the six figure range if I remember correctly.

When Jesse left it sounded largely like Rocky is fundamental not a very large budget team and he was moving on to bigger opportunities a bigger team could offer.

Spotted EX MS Mondraker rider Mike Jones being handing a New 2024 Mondraker Summum at Dyfi Bike park last weekend.
Seems to be riding with Bristol Based “Sterlands Cycle Service” riders who I know Mark Sterland the owner and Josh the Manager worked for MS Mondraker before.
Apparently they're partnering up with Mondraker UK to develop a WC/National Team with Mike and another couple of riders
Spotted in an Adam Brayton Vlog too!! Now this is something to get excited about. The King of the valleys is back!!!

I'm low-key suspecting that they secretly have their backs against the wall, financially speaking, and all of this is some sort of a hail mary attempt to drum up some publicity and get the cash flow going.

Even more, most, if not all those injuries were at the Da Hui Backdoor Shootout, which is different than Vans Pipeline Masters, which is different than the Pipeline stop of the WSL tour, but all of which happen at the wave Pipeline/Backdoor in late Dec-Jan

I knew they were at Backdoor shootout I figured that Van's ended up being sponsor. I have not followed it as much but did see some of the videos of injuries and Kai's helmet.

To be honest..I have been on the Vans BMX Shoes for a while now. Currently on the Courage Adams Pro Model and have been by far the best for me personally..regarding the pedals, (OneUps)and the soles are still going. After more that 1 season riding 4-5 times a week and a price tag of approx. 50CHF - that is pretty cool to see. I also stocked up and purchased 3 pairs on sale. So far so good and they double up as casual shoes when they start falling apart. I loved the Gravel Shoes but here in Switzerland they were almost impossible to get...I would def buy a pair if Vans make a MTB shoe.

I over heard them saying on the Uplift Mark will be Running Sterlands X Mondraker with Josh has his Head Mechanic.
no world cups clash with UK Nationals this year so he’ll probably be at both for MS and Sterlands X Mondraker UK.
No chat about what his doing in the USA when I asked them though

Erm, you seem to be very sure on this, but let me ask you quick: based upon... what? It's an honest question. Most of us interpret what riders do or say, in order to try to understand where they are heading. I am curious what the base is to the ”Dak to Mondraker” rumor is, considering that he suggested that there will be no major changes for him. Whereas a change of frame is a huge change. Or maybe you have some inside knowledge that we obviously lack and you know this for a fact, but can't talk about it. I am looking at the people who liked your comment and I consider this could be a thing too. Just for the record: I am interested in the mechanics of the rumor, how it came to life, not trying to argue with like minded DH racing fans; we are all in here because we love this.
The goat is riding for Norco this year, and the other goat is an Atherton, so I can only assume they are taking an actual goat on the world cup circuit. Maby it's an emotional support goat for a new rider?
no surprise this guy eats raw meat.
What is this jab Fallout?

vans had the "gravel" flat shoe around 2010 too.
When Jesse left it sounded largely like Rocky is fundamental not a very large budget team and he was moving on to bigger opportunities a bigger team could offer.
Hopefully it's a similar situation with ALN.
Beach grit and vital. A man of taste I see
Vans have a whole Pro BMX range currently that make great flat pedal MTB shoes.
I've been running the BMX Style 114 for about 6 months and love it.
I'm low-key suspecting that they secretly have their backs against the wall, financially speaking, and all of this is some sort of a hail mary attempt to drum up some publicity and get the cash flow going.
Dylan Maples on Commencal Mucoff confirmed by Dharco

ALN leaving Rocky because they're clearing space for Gwin on a new maiden. Now we know why he was in Vancouver a few months back.
Kidding
Hell yeah! That’s awesome for Dylan.

lol when an Aussie company is a day ahead and jumps the gun
It’s confirmed to be Dylan Maples.
He is mentioned in a DHaRCO clothing IG post about him joining Amaury and Myriam and team going an event in Australia
Thredbo mtb just let slip that Dylan maples coming down under with commencal muc off team.
Dang that is so rad for Maples. Stoked for him.

Blenkis taken a delivery of a new bike but sure the truck in the background had crest line on it
Also if Lemoine has joined commencal does that mean Genon is as well. I’m sure an insta post said they’d be going somewhere together .
