how was the broadcast/commentary on Flosports last year? I spent a couple hours trying to do the VPN thing on my work machine and never got it to work. I think a replay popped up on youtube or something that bailed me out but I don't even feel like dealing with the hassle this year. of course Flosports doesn't seem to have pricing anywhere on their website without registering...ominous sign.

For those struggling with the VPN.
Easiest way to do it is on your phone or tablet. Download a VPN app you haven’t used before (if you want the 1-2week free trial, and you get completely free viewing).
If you have an AppleTV and an apple product you can airplay. Google peeps can usually connect to a smart tv depending how your house is setup.
Go to the VPN and select a non restricted country. Now the crucial part for RedbullTV. Go to the location setting, this is easiest on their website as it usually prompts your location, and select the non restricted country you chose in the vpn. If you don’t do that, redbull still thinks you’re in your home country. Just set mine up again for this year and it took all of 5 minutes.
You’ll know it worked if you go to the redbull schedule and it gives you a countdown timer instead of the geo block.
We have a flo subscription at the bike shop, and still use vpn for worlds. Flo coverage and commentary is trash compared to Rob.
Thanks for the assist Roots_rider! I'm almost there, but can't find an option to change the location setting on the RedBull phone app (ios/apple). Any insights?

You just need to close the Red Bull app, start the VPN session in the country you want, then reopen the Red Bull app.
rain started during women's XC short track and provided some drama resulting in impressive performances. massive crowd with a nice stadium feel to the venue and track.
the flosports webcast wasn't bad at all. the excitement of warner wasn't there, but it info was solid.

Minnaar - 4 (1st & last are18 years apart)
Bruni - 4 (winning 4 of 5
Hill - 3 (in 5 years)
Hart - 2 (in 6 Years)
Atherton - 2 (in 6 Yrs)
Barel - 2 (back to back)
Rockwell - 1 (only rider to break Nico's undefeated streak)
Peat - 1
Wilson - 1
Gachet - 1
King - 1
Cullinan - 1
Iten - 1
Herbold - 1
Wins by Country:
France - 14 of 32 - ONLY 4 different riders (3 riders winning 10 of 12 between 1994 & 2005 )
Great Britian - 6 (4 different riders)
S Africa - 4 (1 rider)
USA - 4 (4 different riders...3 of the first 4)
Australia - 3 (1 rider)
Swiss - 1
Nice work, apart from you said 4 different British winners, so I guess you included Peaty in that, but he's not on the the list above.
Those Frenchies seem to like this event.
When we were out in Morzine and Les Gets a few weeks ago the local coach we did some skills training with swore by this weather website, said it was always the most accurate https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/week/les-gets_france_3000902?day=2 it seemed pretty reliable while we were there, but in the mountains its always a bit of a lottery.

Corrected. Thanks.
I posted a Fun Facts for Women and it just disappeared. Ugghhh...
Stoked to have the VPN app working, casting from my phone to the TV.
Has anyone noticed the weird wipe transition that looks like sawdust that Red Bull is using during the race runs? The first few times I saw it, I thought it was someone on the course that was throwing dust or sawdust into the air while racers went by.
flobikes is running raw live clips of elite men right now. pretty rad. they're just letting the feed run. is that happening elsewhere?
thanks @mike_dee
@matmattmatthew - those transitions are everywhere. every outlet is using the same feed/footage - just different commentators and i thought the same thing "is someone using chainsaw on a log and throwing up sawdust?" HAHA
Is the RB replay of the women's not up yet? It was supposed to be posted an hour after the race but the page says "The live stream has ended, thank you for watching!"
https://www.flobikes.com/live/25091
sounds like it's on eurosport/discovery, gcn+ and some other networks too. it's not on redbull.tv today as far as i can tell.

here women's xc short track results (in a link - don't want to spoil if you haven't seen or want to watch later)
updated - and a few mins later the sun is coming out. will be wet for race still.
men's xc short track results here (in a link, as not to spoil if you want to watch)

stoked to hear needles commentating on flobikes webcast (is he part of any english-speaking webcast that isn't red bull?)

A little sad he didn’t drop in anyhow for a slow lap just to go jump in the lake. Hopefully he’s all good
