Just a thought.
Pretty sure TvS is sponsored by x-Fusion whereas there are Marzocchi forks on the bike pictured.
And Zink ist sponsored by Marzocchi so that would be his bike.

Now, before everyone gets hot and bothered, we've all said stuff that we regret and would look back and say, "WTF was I thinking." However, we're not in the public eye like Cam and others. And if no one calls him out now, it can happen again....and again....
That's it and all I'll say on the topic. But I will definitely look at Cam a bit more differently after what was shared in this thread.

Besides this terrible incident, he has posted videos of driving recklessly (cutting double yellows, swerving around people in blind corners) in his Porsche on a known deadly local road for cyclist and motorcyclist.
My opinion on the topic is that it needs addressing by his sponsors, bike media, etc. Definitely not a role model for any kids in the sport. Probably not the forum for this so I’ll end it there.
Agreed. I couldn’t care one bit about the “bashing” of previous sponsors. Most people have had a job that didn’t work out well and I don’t think people owe much of anything once a company is no longer signing your checks.
But nothing is cool about reckless driving or the use of slurs. And a huge difference between making a poor decision in a moment and actively broadcasting stupid behavior bound to have negative effects on others.
Still have respect for zink. Seems to be a guy who’s pretty genuine especially when it comes to his crew. But a little self reflection and personal growth would serve him well.
If every single company you worked for is really really bad, regardless if they're not paying your checks anymore or not, what's more likely to be the issue, all the companies or you (it's a general you, not 'bulletbass man' you)? Some people can get over negative experiences working for certain companies even without dragging them through the mud.

Exactly this. It seems like professionally he is the problem, and then add to it that socially he is problematic, and we start to get a full picture... not somebody I want to root for.
He's been in the business and public eye a long time; I mean, it's never too late, but I would guess we've seen all the "self reflection and personal growth" we're going to get - at this point any mea culpa would just look like a PR stunt.
Without knowing anything specific about Cam and what happened between him and previous sponsors, I will say there are plenty of companies in the bike business that are less than professional in the way they treat employees and athletes...

That's just the way the world works. unfortunately most companies will look out for themselves and that's just the way it is. I know I've not been super fair to some employees in my business, just like some of them have not been fair to me.
If Cam Zink is such a bad example why are y'all following him on social media?? just to get further mad at whatever the guys does? It sounds surprising but life is so simple when you just don't pay attention/block whatever it is you don't mind, I know I don't follow anything I don't like on social media, life's already complicated. Social media is supposed to be a distraction not something to get stressed/mad about. Just my 2 cents.
FWIW I stopped using Instagram... 4 or 5 years ago now. It really does make life better, ignorance really is bliss. I stick to forums (because the content is better there) and of the social media, to YouTube (it actually has some replay value, unlike IG/FB where once you saw the photo and double tapped, that's it) and some groups on FB, mostly bike related. And I use 'Newsfeed eradicator' browser extension for FB to not get sucked in to the horrible feed of my 'friends'.
Regarding rumors, what info is still up in the air?

UR and Unior - Sinter, anything else?
There's still magnus Manson - forbidden. But I guess that's more just an announcement waiting to be made as opposed to a rumor being that he doesn't seem to be trying to hide it.

Um, did anyone else get a message from a pro that we were just talking about on this thread? Their initials are in the word “CraZy.” If so, is this a joke or the real deal?
Why? The post was removed instantly, it was up just long enough for the email notifications system to pick it up and show it to us with it turned on
BTW, the username is general, there is no obvious correlation with anyone, but checking out the profile (location and posting history) does make it plausible. But still, plausible is not proof.

If that's a joke, the guy behind this prank have a whole lot of spare time.
My two cents it's a authentic move. And I hope so.
Just watched Accomplice on Netflix last night and really respected how much time and effort Zink put into making sure that Paul Basagoitia wasn't left feeling alone. Zink taking the time and effort to put that message out on his social media and make a change raised my respect for him even more. Pretty cool...

It was once said that "let him who is without sin cast the first stone". The dude that said that definitely never heard of the internet.
Hope Zink gets forgiveness + peace and hope we get back on-topic.
Honestly, I had no idea that he had reached out to apologize (or I'm assuming that's what he did on the forum?). Based on the behaviour that had been brought up, I made an assumption that the messages were negative.
Glad to hear that he's making some positive changes. I've always been a huge fan of Zink and hope to see more big things from him in the future!

Let’s assume it’s authentic...
First, holy 26” wheels Batman! CZ is now a Vital forum member. Proof that the pros love what we talk about on the forums
In all seriousness, this is a positive sign and no need to further drag his name at the moment. While not public, it’s a positive step.
