Brage Vestavik on GT. After Eliott Lapotre, looks like GT wants to earn some street-cred in the freeride community. What about Cannondale (GT and Cannondale are under the same holding), which signed 50to01, then deleted their DH program ? What about Mongoose and Akrigg parting away ? My bet on Akrigg on GT so...
Bryan Regnier to Prime Bicycles? Today he will announce for which brand he will ride and Prime Bicycles will publish a video at 7pm according to their instagram story....let's wait and see.
Breaking team news –Commencal has just announced the addition of Elite Goober and expert bike handler Ronan O’Grady to their stable for the upcoming 2020 Enduro Goober Season (EGS) season. Ronan ends months of speculation over his new ride for 2020 with Canyon and YT both rumoured to be very close to securing his signature on a long term deal but ultimately the Andorran outfit secured his services for the coming season based on a more aggressive all round package on their Meta AM 29 platform ahead of the Canyon Strive (with technical concerns such as head and seat angle suggested as key factors in the decision) and YT Capra (time for a change). Ronan would like to thank YT for all their support and success over the last 5 years of racing and wishes the YT team and its remaining EGS riders, Tom, Stephen and Sjoerd all the best for the coming season. Ronan will be riding the Meta AM 29 – Signature – L

With Tyler McCaul, I'd say GT already has some credibility with the freeride community. Brage just adds a new dimension.

Any other kind of bike is basically unrideable these days isn't it?
This is true. Just the other day I went to ride my bike with dual 650b wheels. As I reached for the bike it suddenly whipped me in the face, told me that it was "too old for this sh!*" then told me to get off the lawn. I went back inside feeling hurt, one; because a tire to the face hurts, and two; I realised that my bike has more stylish whips than me, even in it's old age.
Not typical team news but Ruaridh Cunningham working for the EWS as sports coordinator, pretty stoked for him, he's a awesome rider and super nice guy but he has been having a tough time with injuries/illness the last few years.

Wind tunnel is a pr stunt. Just like suspension logging for everyone bar one is a head game.
And it still a mullet.

Top part of Fort William is defo tuckable. And maybe the motorway. But basically anywhere where there are marginal gains to pedalling, where the riders are or can get tired (length of Ft. William for example) or are going too fast to pedal.

Curious about Brage's Michelin tires.
1. Would they be carryovers from the Mondraker days?

The GT Wing Project/Coalition* has it all in terms of sponsors, take Rachel Strait; SRAM, Kenda, TLD, while Hans Rey is FOX and Vittoria tires, Bernardo Cruz on Marzocchi.
It seems that GT provides the frames and athletes get the rest from sponsors.
*Joey Foresta is now sponsored by DVO while the rest of the Factory team is FOX - The weird thing is In his FB page he wears the team kit but he is not on the GT bikes team roster.

More then likely because he is no longer on the Team but GT is kind enough to give him some kind of a deal
Here's the official announcement from Pivot Factory Racing - Morgane Charre joins the team, confirmation of whole roster:
------------------------------------------------------------
Bernard Kerr here. I hear a few rumors going ‘round about Pivot Factory Racing for 2020. Stoked people are talking, but let me fill you in on what’s really going on.
We are over the moon to announce that the PFR family is growing by one. Official for 2020, we have signed a 2019 EWS Trophy of Nations Winner – Morgane Charre.
Morgane is one of the most naturally talented riders on a bike. The French racer stormed onto the downhill World Cup circuit in 2012, claiming the World Championship title in Leogang - on flat pedals. In addition to the rainbow stripes, she has landed on nine other World Cup podiums and finished 4th overall in the 2019 Enduro World Series. Morgane grew up riding BMX and dirt jumps, and it shows with her ability to move the bike around and always have a time whilst riding. With this, we can’t think of a better fit for our enduro team. Morgane will focus on the Enduro World Series, but throw in a few downhill and Crankworx events. We have signed Morgane for the next three seasons and I can't wait to see what she accomplishes aboard her new Pivots.
After much online unrest, we’d like to make official confirmation that Eddie Masters IS staying aboard Pivot Factory Racing - not only for 2020, but we snagged him for another three years. Kiwi, Matt Walker also returns to Pivot Factory Racing. Ed and Matt plan to race the Enduro World Series, DH World Cups, and Crankworx.
Long-time PFR member, Emilie Siegenthaler will continue with the team, focusing on downhill World Cups and Crankworx events once she fully rebounds from her recent ACL injury. Emi plans to make her comeback at either the Fort William or Andorra World Cup.
Anyone pondering what I have in store for 2020? Well with no surprise, I am back fulltime to riding my pedal bikes after my failed attempt at #prAy1. Like usual, you will see me at the World Cups, Crankworx and if all goes as planned, Redbull Hardline.
Let the good times roll, get out there and ride your bike! XO
