Added a Runt to my 170mm Lyrik about a year ago and immediately noticed a difference. It took a bit more time to dial in the feel over just using tokens, but it's really an awesome upgrade. Diaz includes shims for damper tune as well, but I haven't done that yet, probably this spring when it's time for the damper to be serviced.
Seems like EXT has been beaten by Chickadee Hill on the dual positive chamber rear shock. They also were the first I know of with dual positive chamber for forks as well. https://www.instagram.com/p/CYpInC0tKv3

i have an older 36 (2015) that i didn't think i could add a Runt to, but apparently MRP makes Fulfill spring conversion kit for that gen 36 for ramp control units (removes the self equalizing air shaft, blocks the port, and adds a valve to the bottom to independently adjust the neg spring). they sell it as a standalone piece too, and that should allow me to install a runt.

i honestly can't say I've ever heard of them. when did they release the dual positive air fork? manitou released the IRT several years back, 2016 i believe.
i remember CC talking about using a dual pos air when they were developing the helm, but decided it would be too complicated for users.

Chickadee Hill has been toying with this stuff since at least 2014.
I mean I knew Chickadee Hill from their AWK system which is/was prety popular. But that they did a shock is new to me!
Great information! Know I need to see if I will change my Fast Fenix to one :D
It's another full carbon rear end for one of their bikes. Something called the Dunedin. Might be different somehow but I'm not sure, not an expert on GG's. If you know where to look on PB the photos are there.

It's a let down IMO. They had the revved rear triangle for the Trail Pistol for a little while now, this announcement is that now you can upgrade an older Trail Pistol with the AL stays with revved ones for $1200.
Sorry GG, swing and a miss on this announcement.
a really good listen (full disclosure: Dave is an old buddy of mine). neko goes into a lot more detail about the design and development process for his new frame. i won't spoil it, but anyone that' was around the northeast DH scene a long time ago will get a good laugh about where a certain part of the frame came from.

Thanks for linking the podcast. Always looking for new bike-related material, and this looks like a good one. Plus.. they covered the Hustle RemTech pedal, which is super cool.
This was from about a week ago but I don'tt remember seeing anyone post about it. Looks like Cascade is working on a new link set for the Turbo Levo that will allow it to run a 230x65mm instead of the stock 210x55mm. Have talked to a lot of heavier riders that would definitely benefit from this.
Received an email from Vitus overnight about its 2022 releases. The Escarpe, which is only just over a year old, will receive a "frame update" (not a new frame) in April. Presumably they'll also take the opportunity to beef up the spec.

What do they need to update on this frame? It uses a long-enough shock, it’s got a modern geo, it’s light enough… I’d be more happy with them transforming the Dominer into a high-pivot bike.

The Cascades component talk reminded me of this. Having run a mullet myself this past season, this seems pretty cool to me. I do wonder why they went the yoke route as opposed to new drop outs like they did with the Supreme.

Beat me to it! I came here with a screenshot too. Maybe Intense will figure things out this year. The other day Dak posted a photo of his intense bike in his shed, but it was pretty much head on so you couldn’t see what’s going on at all. They may have something special in the works.

If only… I’m not gonna say much but the bike gwin was on at windrock today was not a proto high pivot intense… #lookslikea.
