No news for now regarding Jack Moir, Nik Nestoroff, and Charlie Harrison. Some of these riders may still have agreements in place that cover 2018, we haven't been able to dig up that information at this point. Stay tuned!

Richie Rude now sponsored by RynoPower, Gwin also sponsored by them, coincidence?
Is that one of those power bracelet companies?

He said they are both there for a Red Bull event, but here's Rude featured in Gwin's instagram story yesterday, for all your conspiracy theorists out there:

Just in case you missed it, Jerome Clementz, winner of the the very first EWS season overall series and sick shredder in general, is going to be "transitioning out of full time racing" next year, to focus on other projects. Check his interview in the latest EWS slide show for more.

Jerome Clementz EWS career recap:
EWS 2013 overall ranking: #1
EWS 2014 overall ranking: #28 (missed 5 races)
EWS 2015 overall ranking: #3
EWS 2016 overall ranking: #3
EWS 2017 overall ranking: #4

I also saw Rude, but Kate Courtney is also there (Specialized XC racer).

Don't Gwin and Rude also share a trainer or something?

"Some rider" is Joost 'The #Boost' Wichman who I think works and rides for Radon already, so nothing new there, although would be interesting to see if they do anything with a team to promote/test their new bike

Muddy off Trek Factory after 1 year already. I know results count after all but he seemed to add some character to the team.

Muddy did have a pretty bad year, sucks when you finally get on a factory team and then your results are worse than the year before. I guess sometimes it better to be the underdog

Damn, Trek and/or Athertons must have a cut-throat contract. He didn't do great, but he did better than some riders on the circuit on factory contracts that don't even make it to the race on sundays. Wasn't he running the 29er from early on in the season? He seemed to fit well with the team, so this seems pretty harsh.

If it’s all about results, what are they doing with Gee?

In his Instagram post he got mad at people asking if he was off trek... He replied with some vague comment about how there is a few months left in the race season....

When Mudd was first signed there was a quote from Gee that went as follows...
"We’re always alert to emerging potential and there were some flashes of brilliance in Muddy’s 2016 season, it was obvious that he is our kind of hard-wired racer. At Hardline we got chance to spend some time with him and the whole team became huge fans. We’re really looking forward to seeing how the increased support impacts on his 2017 results.”

I would find it really weird for the Athertons to bring him on as someone they saw had potential but just needed more time training and a better opportunity to be with a proper race team and all the things that come with it only to make the decision to kick him off the team after one year when honestly nobody on that Trek team had a season to be super happy about....

If he was leaving Trek my guess is he had some hard conversations with himself if this was still what he really wanted to do and that if he was having as much fun as he thought he would. Maybe its more he's just gonna go home and spend the off season thinking about what's next... who knows but to say he is off the team with the way things are being shown on social media with him and the Athertons is a little too much cart in front of the horse when it comes to Headline worthy news.

Amaury Pierron in front of a picture of the Specialized Racing crew and point on the "Specialized" on Loics jersey.
I know they are good friends, but who knows...

If that's true then kudos to Devinci. The kid deserves a factory ride and I'm sure he'll get a lot better results now. He could be the next Callahan.

Bruni signed 3 years with specialized. I’m almost certain Finn did too but since he is moving to elite in 2018 I will be curious to see how that plays out.

Finn signed with Gravity Republic when he was a sub-junior, completing his first season with the team just as a sweep rider. He's been with the team 3 years now so his contract is up.
