In addition to the recent launch of the Zee and Saint groups, Shimano had this prototype chainguide on display. The bash guard is in 1/4 ring pieces so you can bolt it on the side of the ring you hit most often. You can also add another bash piece to provide protection for 1/2 of the full ring. It's just 147 grams. What's the most exciting thing about it? The super low friction lower guide (and we mean super). There was next to no resistance when spinning the cranks backwards.
