Recently spear-headed by Toby Henderson, BOX Components is a new line of high-end offerings from the Promax family. They're diving headfirst into the components game with several products that will hit the market in spring 2014. This 10-speed rear derailleur will be offered with both a long and mid-cage. It uses a large 30mm pivot for rigidity and sealed cartridge bearings. It'll work with 10-speed Shimano/SRAM chains and cassettes, with a maximum range of 11-36 teeth. They are also working on a model that incorporates a clutch-like mechanism. On the stand, the demo shifted cleanly and quickly, which is promising. Pricing is expected to be in line with Shimano's XT line. At 235 grams it'll be competitive in the weight game as well.
