Smith is among the growing number of brands to incorporate MIPS technology into their helmets. Wanting to maintain the high level of breathability offered by the Koroyd construction, Smith and MIPS worked together to create a liner that offered more ventilation. The MIPS upgrade is a $40 up-charge over the standard $220 Forefront.
Four colors of the Forefront will be available with MIPS. The recently released Overtake XC/road helmet will also be offered with MIPS.
