The Swayze is a good looking grip and you have to love the Sensus style. Have had these on for the second full season and have liked them a lot. The wavy grip pattern is a classic style that feels good and grips well. Haven't had any issues with hand fatigue or losing grip in all shorts of different conditions. The lock-ons work really well and have never had them loosen up or slip on the bars, total set and forget. Grips have also shown little to no wear. The colored grips do get dirty fast, but then again clean ones would mean you aren't riding. Sensus also offers a variety of color choices which is nice, I'm rocking the neon green!
There are a couple of downsides though. First, the flange on these grips is big, like BMX big. I have used other grips from ODI and Diety with flanges and had had no issues, but with the Swayzes I have contact with the up shifting paddle. If you are running single speed, or with really wide bars, you might not experience this issue. I am running these on a trail bike with a 1x10 so my rear shifter has been a small issue. Sensus is more freeride/dirt jump focused, so the flange issue is probably not a big concern for them, but a big smaller flange would be nice.
The bar end caps are also a weak point. Caps are always nice to have and I don't expect them to live through everything, but these caps got all bet out of shape on the first fall. They easily bend out and get dirt packed between the cap and the lock ring. Once bent they don't bend back. I gave a couple of whacks with a mallet and no luck.
Overall the Swayzes are great grips and I've been happy with them, but you might have to make some small compromises depending on how you're set up.
These are my current go to grip. I ride without gloves trail riding and I've had zero issues with comfort or slipping. Long days of pedaling and have not experienced anything negative with regards to callouses or rubbing. Bonus that they come in a number of colors and can customize on their site with grip and lock ring colors. As mentioned before, the flange is large and can rub against or get in the way of your shifter, but a quick snip and you are on your way.
